| who me? Admin | While there's still plenty of time before the pads start popping at training camp, Buffalo's offensive backfield looks as though it will be manned by more than one capable ball carrier in 2007. "We think it's in everybody's best interest, Anthony Thomas included, that we do have more than one back that carries the load," said Bills head coach Dick Jauron. "If you do that and you have depth, you can rotate them, you can keep them fresh (and) they don't get as beat up." The Bills for the first time in seven years appear to be headed in that direction with their running game. Back in the 2000 season Buffalo, which went 8-8, had three backs all within 250 rushing yards of one another at the end of the year. Shawn Bryson led the team with 591 yards rushing, followed by Antowain Smith (354) and Sammy Morris (341). In 1999 it was Smith (614) and Jonathan Linton (695) when the Bills compiled an 11-5 record and went to the playoffs. The New York Jets made a committee backfield work for them as they used four different backs last season en route to a 10-6 campaign and a Wild Card playoff berth. more... |

| Bloggin' Outlaw Premium Member Forum Leader | Actually the Bills have signed 3 O-linemen so far. Derrick Dockery OG Redskins Jason Whitttle OG Vikes Langston Walker OT Raiders It will be interesting to see if they re-sign Unrestricted FA OT Mike Gandy. The line should be improved as should the whole O and RBBC is becoming more and more prevelent in the NFL. It is a trend that is building as it does work. The Jets as Mike pointed out did well without a primary running threat. The Bills struck early and hard in FA in order to improve this line and it should produce some results. |

| Meatwhistle | I think Brown is too much like A.Thomas. They would prob prefer a smaller, quicker back to compliment A-Train. Tatum Bell would have fit well imo. (What's up with Brown anyway? Either his agent is asking to much $, teams are afraid of his injury history, or there is no teams in need?) |
