This is a very nice pickup for the Bucs. Now that they have a pair of good coverage linebackers maybe the other LB can have more of a impact pressuring the QB and bottling up the run better.

I'll tell you guys what, Tampa Bay has been making some very impressive moves this off-season and shall be a force to be reckoned with this upcoming season.

Honestly, I think Hc is under pressure. He only delivered with players not picked by himself. He needs a good year...and a long run in the playoffs...or he is probably gone this year. Gruden will then REALLY equal grumpy face!

I can see Chucky being under pressure, but I don't know how much. The team struggled this year for multiple reasons, but they did go 11-5 the year before and win the division, so the axe might not be too close to his head yet.

Change "shall" to "could" and I'm in total agreement. Especially if they draft CJ and unearth one more quality starter with a later pick.

Although with the resurgence of New Orleans and the parity between the other 3 teams in the NFC South it may be tough to return to the playoffs, at least for 2007. J. Garcia's importance will be amplified more and more as the offseason moves along.

i saw tampa play a few times this year and was always really impressed with how hard the team was playing for gruden, and how many upsets or near upsets they came up with. just didnt have much healthy talent this year. they'll be back, and gruden will be the one leading them.

Well, they beat Cincy and Philly and that late season game against Chicago (overtime loss) was one of the more entertaining games of the season.

I'd say it's simply a rebuilding talent issue and not at all a coaching issue at this point.

Tampa Bay has continued to be a solid team despite last year's record. The problem, however, has started with the quarterback position and branched out from there, I think Gruden has proven to be a viable coach, an opinion that was proven, at least for me, in this year's Senior Bowl. The Buccaneers defence has always been dominate they've just had difficulty finding the endzone. Besides Joey Galloway the recievers weren't catching passes, though most of that fault should fall on the shoulders of an inexperienced QB, and only Alstott was able to score a rushing TD on more than one occasion. The addition of Garcia, and hopefully Calvin Johnson, will add a killer's instinct to the passing game which will in turn lead to more points and hopefully more wins.
