Fantasy Football Rookie Drafts - Calvin Johnson

For most rookies, there is still a need to wait and see where players get drafted. It wont affect the top players very much, but could have a small effect.

I think for a couple guys, including Calvin Johnson, it won't matter much. Where do you see Calvin Johnson going in this year's rookie drafts?

Most rookie drafts I have been involved in seem to be rb oriented. However, I don't see any real knock down win at rb. So seeing Johnson going #1 or #2 would not shock me at all. Worst case, #4 would be the lowest. I have a rookie draft coming up...I am betting he goes #1...as we get pts for receptions.

I am guessing that on average it will be

#1 - Adrian Peterson
#2 - Calvin Johnson

I can see it flip flopping, depending on need from whoever has the #1 pick, but overall, that is where I see it starting. PPR leagues could see Johnson going #1 more than in other leagues, and there will be cases of running backs going #1 and #2 as well I am sure.

Maybe. Key to find out is what rb ends up in Buffalo, and Green bay.

I can see in some leagues where those rbs would rate over Johnson. For that matter, Peterson might not be #1 if he is going to a system that will split carries...say Minn. or some such.

i dont see calvin going lower than #3, behind AP and marshawn if both somehow look to get starting jobs. people are going to take him #1 at times too, if theyre enamored.

I would not be as hyped about grabbing Johnson very early if the Raiders draft him. And they just may do that to snub Gruden, who would love to get him and is willing to trade to do so. At least that is what I am reading.
