| Wonder Woman Premium Member | Houston Trading out of #10? POSTED 5:10 p.m. EDT; UPDATED 6:00 p.m. EDT, April 25, 2007 BRONCOS, TEXANS TALKING TRADE Adam Caplan and Tony Pauline of Scout.com report that the Texans and the Broncos are negotiating a trade that would result in the two teams trading the No. 10 and No. 21 overall picks in the draft. In moving to No. 10, the Broncos reportedly would be targeting linebacker Patrick Willis, defensive tackle Amobi Okoye, and defensive end Adam Carriker. The primary target could be Willis -- and landing a spot in front of the 49ers will help to ensure that they get him. It's unclear what the Broncos will be given up to climb eleven spots. Under the trade chart, the move is worth 500 points. Denver's second-round pick (No. 56 overall) is worth 340 points. The Broncos' third-round pick (No. 86 overall) is worth 160 points. And that's a total of 500 points. The Texans don't have a second-round pick, due to the Matt Schaub trade. They hold the ninth pick (No. 73 overall) in round three. linkage: ProFootballTalk.com -- The Best Pro Football Scoop on the Internet I wouldn't be opposed to this. We need to pick up extra players in the draft. |

| TO THE DEATH | They know who they want and what it will take to get their player. This would be a great deal for the Texans if they get a second rd pick and a 3rd or 4th rd pick. If Ive learned anything about the knew coaching staff, they know how to find talent in the later rounds, so a second round pick and an additional 3rd round pick could yield some great talent and depth for the defense. Plus, a second rounder would give us a shot at a receiver to compliment Johnson. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | i dont mean to be a complete jerk but... isnt that because pretty much every single position is a need? you really cant go wrong by taking BPA with houston cuz they could use the upgrade at every position imo. |

so im giving you two positions. we can safely expect you not to draft an MLB and a TE. though really, ryans could pretty easily move outside if a good MLB was on the board, i bet. you shouldve just stuck with hollywoodnash. i'll give you TE. any other position is completely fair game. ![]() (now watch them take greg olsen at #10...)

| Wonder Woman Premium Member | DaBomb, What you don't realize is that Ryans is too smart to play any other position on the field. He came into training camp last year as the 2nd string MLB and was swapping out with the Sam and Mike. He worked his ass off to become the starting MLB. The man has football sense as well as total intelligence. That's why he became the Defensive Rookie of the Year last year. I totally trust Kubiak and Smith. I can see the Denver deal getting done. Houston gets back a second and picks up a third. If Denver wants to trade their entire first day for one guy, let them. |

| Deputy Premium Member Forum Leader | actually, moving down could help them. They could have a shot at a decent CB in Houston or maybe Ross. There is a chance OT is available with Staley, or OG with Blalock. All real needs. Heck...some thing Lynch might be there if GB goes Wr. |

Every position on the team is a need. QB included, but there ain't better choices in this draft. By the way, I noted the draft rumor before PFT at the AOL site. Today's Chronicle says that sort of deal is NOT in the works. I would be totally fine with a trade down. Lots of good players at 21, but more importantly the picks would be handy.
