Detroit Lions Take Calvin Johnson with the #2 Draft Pick

While a trade could still be in the works, for now, Calvin Johnson is a Detroit Lion. Considered the best player in the draft by most, Johnson should be able to improve any team who has him.

Lions fans, do you like this pick? Surprised to see another wide receiver drafted (if he stays)?

The best player of the draft is never a bad pick IMO.

You know what I find ironic? 4 first round selections at WR for the Lions in the past seven years and their third best receiver in this decade was a UDFA who played safety his first two years in the league.

He was an excellent pick. It was the the teams 2nd pick that I was unhappy with.

I'll admit now that I'm a U of M fan rather that State but wWasn't Stanton involved in the same drug scandal Rogers was??? Didn't he have to work his way back onto the team??? I'm not questioning he has the tools but I would prefer a smarter QB like Edwards w/ a later pick for the team to work with.
