Perhaps we should keep this to one thread. See my responses to your really lame and reaching point of view in the Ben thread.

Time to put this one to bed.
Rush in 2004: 4th overall in
NFL, 2333yds, 4.4ave, 145.8 per game, 13 TDs
Pass in 2004: 6th overall in
NFL, 3999yds, 249.9 per game, 22 TDs
Rush in 2003: 2nd overall in
NFL, 2629yds, 4.8 ave, 164.3 per game, 20 TDs
Pass in 2003: 22nd overall in
NFL, 2969yds, 185.6yds per game, 19 TDs
Rush in 2002: 5th overall in
NFL, 2266yds, 5.0 ave, 141.6 per game, 21 TDs
Pass in 2002: 5th overall in
NFL, 3824yds, 239 yds per game, 21TDs
Now, what "I" see is a team that relied heavily on rush in 2003, but not in 2002 and 2004. Now, Portis was there in 2002. Overall, I would say most of loss was due to much better passing game. 2nd year in system for
QB, and
wr's stepped up. So YES, loss of Portis cost NOTHING.

This is laughable. YOU see this as a negative. I see this as clear fact, the SYSTEM makes the back, no matter who.

They got blown out in the playoffs with what was supposed to be a better defense. Now they have no RB and they STILL have a poor defense. So how did they benefit? |

Spoken like someone who has NO clue about football. Denver was hurt on defense by injuries. Washington said Portis would make their offense, instead it was putrid. Now, you will turn this around and say it was the bad
QB play. But I thought a STUD back fixed all things?

They went through three due to injuries. No matter who they put in, that guy performed, in fact was greatly sought out by other teams. You were wrong, again, get used to it. At least you should be now.
