This is a close call, and although I don't think these two guys are the premier WRs in the league - I still can see myself having to make a call between one or the other.

While CJ has been radically inconsistent last year, I can't help but take him. I see the potential he has and how good he has been in the past and I can't help but think he'll have a resurgence this season. CJ has superior size, a better QB throwing to him, a better offensive line, a better supporting WR in Who'sYourMamma even though his talent will take some throws away from Chad. The upside with Chad is higher and I don't like Delhomme at the moment.

I am looking at CJ or TO as my #1 going into the season this year, so for this close call, I have to go with Chad Johnson.

Steve Smith is still up there close, but given his smaller size, I think that the abuse is starting to wear on him, and he is also going to be dealing with another playmaker on the opposite side in Dwayne Jarrett this year.

no brainer

Ocho Cinco is an easy pick here. Better stats, more consistancy, healthier and most of all Palmer throws to him. Can you really trust Delhomme or , God forbid, Carr?

On my draft board Marvin Harrison is ranked ahead of both these guys.

If I had to decide between the two of them though, I'd pick Chad Johnson because he has the better O-line, the better QB, more size and just as much upside imo.

and i will pick steve smith because he has the better numbers. in my league we dont award points for having more size or a better OL, but maybe thats just me.

I must be honest here. I voted for CJ in this poll, but when it came down to it in my draft, I took SS.

There, I said it.

I have either of these guys on several teams and I have both of them on one auction contract team. I am very happy to have either but I would give the edge to CJ just because he has a better QB even though he has a better WR opposite him. The only knock I have on CJ is that last year his consistency was pretty bad.

What kind of reports are there on Steve Smith's health this year? If he's healthy he should be above CJ, but he's kind of an injury risk most of the time (the little nagging sort of injuries).
