What rookie WR other then Calvin will enjoy the best rookie season?

The 07 class was well touted, so who other then Calvin is going to rise to the top this season?

I'm still torn on this one but would love to see what others think on this one.

Wow...I think it might be too early to call.

To me, Davis in SD looks like a solid hit...or one of the rookies in Minny...since they are locked as starters.

I have gotta feel that Jarret will be open due to the coverage schemes on Smith, also feel that the rook in Indy could get involved, as he is the most polished of the bunch in a polished type offense. Those three.

jarrett is my second best rookie WR by a significant margin. after that it drops off to a handful of guys.

one guy who ought to be watched if he can get healthy by the season is robert meachem. hes already my third highest rookie WR and could maybe raise to around my top 40 WRs if he gets healthier.

If healthy I like Meachem this year, followed by Jarrett. Now in a dynasty format Im taking Dwayne Bowe. He will be a stud in 3 years.

Jarrett and Gonzalez. They both have the easy road to starterdom, and play with other receivers who will take much of the pressure off them.

Dwayne Jarrett for me. After that, I think Dwayne Bowe has an excellent chance at putting up some pretty good rookie stats depending on how the play goes at the quarterback position.

I was liking Meachem until he showed up for camp overweight and ended up hurt as a result. That just stinks of laziness to me.

Wow, a lot of Jarrett fans out there. Im going a different wat here. Marshawn Lynch. He will be Buffalo's feature back, and put up 1000's yards and 5 or 6 touchdowns this year. He was the most complete back in the draft, and I look for Buffalo to feature him sooner rather then later.

Are they planning to move Lynch to WR? I could see that happening since clearly Buffalo doesn't value talent at the RB position.

Senior Gonzalez

This rookie will slip into Stokely's spot in that high octane Indy offense this year. With only one RB to carry the load Payton will be chucking the rock aaaaaaaalot. Oh,yeah, they do have DeDe but he is an unproven back...so they will toss aaaaaaaalot.

Jacoby Jones maybe.

Kevin Walter is pencilled in at #2, but the thing that allowed exotic defenses on Andre Johnson last year was that Moulds couldn't stretch the field. I'm not sure Walter can either. If Walter isn't getting it done early, Jones could take that spot.

Kubiak had great things to say about Jones--likes his competitiveness and confidence. The Texans spent a lot of time watching him before the draft because he played some allstar games in Houston.

About his background:

Quote:
Jones became one of the best players in the history of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. In 2006, he became the first player to earn all-SIAC honors at three positions (receiver, punt returner and kick returner) in the same season. That was the same year he led the conference in receptions per game, yards receiving, kickoff returns, punt returns and all-purpose yardage.

Despite such accomplishments, Jones wasn't a scouting priority for NFL teams. Nevertheless, he attended the North-South all-star game in Houston in January and played so well that he was invited to the more prestigious East-West Shrine Game at Reliant Stadium the following week. His practices had scouts buzzing.
Jones overcomes odds to earn shot with Texans | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

The Texans have never had a reliable #2 receiver, but some would suggest that this is a result of the previous QB who shall not be named not having the ability to read the field.

Calvin is the only reciever the rest are just glorified return men until they prove otherwise.

I too am going to have to agree with the majority, Meachem, Bowe and Jarrett all look to have great starts to their NFL careers. However, out of all the rookie recievers other than CJ, I look for Anthony Gonzalez to have the best year.
