| who me? Admin | Thomas Jones, the stud running back, who plays through his injuries has started all 16 gams.... Once. He has topped the mediocre stat of 1000 yards.... Twice. He has scored double digit touchdowns..... Never. Cedric Benson got a load of carries last year in December, through the end of the season because the offense ran better with him, and he was more of a sure thing to convert on short yardage/goal line plays. |

| TO THE DEATH | Every runningback gets hurt. Most injuries aren't made public. Benson is not an injury risk. He needed experience and seasoning. TJ is a good back, but if he was that good the Bears would have traded Benson, not TJ. If TJ was so good, then they never would have drafted Benson to begin with. TJ is a good back, but his stats had a lot to do with their system, not his ability. They're a running team. How many 1000 yard backs have they had. Can anyone say Salaam, or any of the other crappy runningbacks they trotted out onto the field that ran for 1000 yards who went on to be mediocre RB's with other teams. Im not saying this is going to happen to TJ, but the fact that the Bears didn't even blink to get rid of him makes me wonder...Is he that good? |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | um... rashaan salaam was a heisman winning first round pick for the bears, who was only the 4th college player in history to rush for over 2000 yards at the time. not exactly a crappy RB. |

| Paul Crew | I think both are very good #2 RB's. Benson would seem to be in line for a few more carries due to Chicago's "D", as well as a few more Goal Line Opportunitys. Chicago saw enough from Benson to let Jones go, so i would tend to lean towards Benson being the better Fantasy option this year. |
