WTF? Wasn't Walsh's statements the whole reason this story broke?

Nice of Walsh and his lawyer to state this fact now... 1 Superbowl and 3 months after the story broke.
Why not make this statement the moment they heard of the false report?
Now I see why Walsh had to be so careful to not be sued. Throwing around that type of false accusations could be very expensive.... and should be.

Although Walsh will turnover 8 tapes showing defensive and offensive signal calling, I believe the commish has already seen these and has already penalized the Patriots accordingly.

Another note, on local radio this morning they stated that one tape in particular, the championship game vs. the Steelers (in '01?), had been edited to combine two different camera angles back and forth during the tape. Showing the basic D signals being given with the time and scoreboard from one camera angle (as in the tape of the Jets game) then editing in veiws of the defensive players on the field from an endzone camera for each play.
This coinsides with Belicheats "mis-interpereted the rules" as the team would have been editing and using the film "for future use" and not "for use during that game", as the rule was worded.

The cheating is done, the punnishment was harsh, and now it is over.

I hate to keep a conspiracy alive, but I simply am not buying this, not that it matters. The sudden distancing of the Rams tape just stinks of a buyout to me.

I really hope Goodell's reign as NFL commissioner is short lived.

That the Rams walk through tape existed was reported by the Boston Herald, from what I read, not by Walsh. Everyone jumped on that like stink on shit, now it appears it was bad reporting by the Herald... But you think it does exist and that the commish paid off Walsh to back-pedal on it's existence?

Here's my thing if this was reported awhile ago why is Walsh just now saying anything. If this wasn't true why did he wait so long to say anything? Just seems a little fishy to me.
