round 12 of a 5 keeper league. start 9 got all my starters except K and Def. Got a decent backup at rb and wr.

Don't have a backup at QB but after this pick there are only 6 spots before I pick again. only 2 others don't already have backup Qb's and only 1 picks in those 6 picks. there are 4 QB's left that I rate high enough to pick as my backup.

so I will be able to get one of those backups and really doesn't matter which one cause they all are about equal.

Here's my question, which RB do you think I should take a chance on:

1. M. Clarrett - Denver tends to get RB hurt at a high rate has a shot at getting playing time at some point during the season.

2. Jarrett Peyton - Tenn has C. Brown who is an injury risk. If you have followed NFL Europe you have seen what he has done there. 5.8 YPC ave (588 yards total) and 7 TDs (lead the league for RB's) in 5 games as a starter.

which of the 2 would you take a shot at? Please don't tell me to do this or that. If this was your delema and had to chose between the 2 which would you chose.

I am very intrigued by Jarrett Payton, and not so sure about Clarrett. Payton wasnt good enough in college to make the starting ranks, but their is no denying he has great bloodlines.

Given this as an option, I probably take a risk on Payton, given Chris Brown's injury risk. I would imagine Clarrett is going to stay buried in the depth charts this year, if he ever gets his head screwed on straight.

Payton has another Tenn RB over in Europe to contend w/ doesn't he? Even so I like his chances better than Claretts

Brown (already hurt) and Payton or Smith is the next option

v

Bell, Griffin, and then Anderson, Dayne and Clarett all jockeying for position behind them

I'd take Clarrett and not think twice.

Let me tell you something about Jarrett Payton. Yeah hes not the most talented back there is in the NFL and he wasn't the most talented at UM. He didn't start there because shit he had Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee all ahead of him. All those guys are faster and more athletic than Jarrett.

But the year before when Frank Gore went down early in the year, we had to rely on Jarrett Payton to pick up the slack. Hell his first game was at Talla-nasty against the FSUck Noles. How did he respond? He was absolutely fantastic. The guy is a man. He has got about as much heart as you can have and he is absolutely dedicated. Even though he didn't start the whole year that year, he carried the team's running game and rushed for about 5 yards short of a thousand yards. He was the ENTIRE OFFENSE against the FSUck Noles in the Bowl game and was the reason why we won that game.

He surprised a lot of us Hurricane fans because when we saw him play in scrimmages he either fumbled or got stuffed at the line. But once it was money time and he had to step up he delivered.

Jarrett is great. I haven't been following how he has been doing in NFL Europe but I'm glad to hear that he is kicking ass and quite honestly I am not surprised...nothing he does surprises me anymore after that season. He is like a bruising type back. He isn't going to put any flashy moves on you he's just going to pound pound pound and then when the defense is tired he will run over someone and break one. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Titans give Jarrett a good shot to win that job.
