Having these other stories coming out now as well, particularly the guy who did the videotaping getting vocal might be making the Patriots organization a little nervous right now.

With a SB loss, that organization could be on a long downward spiral.

Ah.

Basically my point was if they happen to lose the SB, this team will be seen as the team that couldn't close it out. Then you have the new spygate stuff, which may or may not blow wide open. Add those together and you have the recipe for the end of a dynasty.

I know it's making me a little nervous

Regarding the Senator letter in Novermber, I've heard conflicting stories about when/if the NFL responded :

That is a very ignorant statement. Think about it for a second.

Basically the whole Sport's Reporters show was about it. This should be enough to piss the Pats off for a huge victory, but it will not stop the pock mark on the teams image during this run. This is not a minor thing.

Its an ignorant thing. There is absolutely nothing positive aboout sports anymore. Baseball steroids, Football cheating and strike, Basketball gambling, Hockey well thats just dead. Olympics cheating. Tour De france cheating, Figure skating fixed, Nascar fixed.Theres more mud slinging then the political race and just like it THERES NO PROOF ON 95% OF IT. Basketball was dead a few months ago because of cheating but I havnt heard anything else about it in months. Baseball was going to die because of the steroid issue; they had the biggest fan base in years. The Patriots got caught using a camera and won every game since. Did they still have a camera on the side line?

People just like to complain about everything in sports but you still watch it and pay these guys ridiculous salaries.

Not everybody thinks the way you think.

As for baseball, I have maybe watched 2 games in the past two years. The NBA? haven't watched a game all season, and honestly, I don't hear nearly as many people talking about the league at all.

And sadly, in the past year or two, the NFL has started to turn me off a little, especially with ways in which our new commissioner has handled things, particularly the inconsistent punishments he hands out to players, and the underhanded way in which he got rid of all the cheating evidence that the Patriots had.

Believe it or not, many people are truly getting sick of things like this and they don't just "watch it anyway"

Mojo what I am saying is if you dont like it you dont have to watch it. In 48 hours no matter if you are A giants fan or a Pats fan or another fan the season will be over and no one will care until next year.

You are crazy if you think this is going to just go away. Get a grip! This is now permanently attached to all of the Pats acheivements. One will not be mentioned without the other. That is the only given. This will always come up in the discussion of where tom Brady rates. There is no way you can deny that. It might upset you, but you have to know that it will happen.

I don't believe that for a second. I am a fan of football, and a fan of the history of it. And I hate the thought of looking back on a possible perfect season, that in a normal situation would be looked upon by everyone as greatness, but instead it is surrounded by cheating.

It may be over with for you after this season, but not for me. This stuff matters more to some than others.

Their legacy will be this scandal, not the winning, it's a shame. The two will be forever linked. If it was just the first one, it would have been a small part of it, but with the latest news, it is now becoming a trend. What else is there.....what is the truth??? It's now their legacy, no matter what else they accomplish.

And if any hard proof comes out of the taping of the walk through, the SB needs to be stripped, no middle ground there.

As this continues to develop, I think much more heat needs to be put on Roger Goodell as well. His handling of this situation was completely biased in favor of his buddy Kraft, rather than doing the right thing.
