So please tell me again did the Patriots use a camera after the Jets game? Did the Patriots lose a game after the Jets game? Was there a memo sent before this year that video taping was illegal on the sidelines? You have people up in the booth that can use video tapes if they want to. For me I

For me I am sick of slander before there is any proof. If there is proof that something more happened then what is being said then take their rings away. If your watching ESPN right now theres a lot of people admitting they cheated during there days and how other coaches of other teams did the same things since the 70's. The old saying is true today " Your only cheating if you get caught"

Here is what I am sick of - The lack of investigation on any of these issues, and the covering up of evidence.

What did the league do about the reports of the Patriots videotaping the Rams walk through? virtually nothing. Hell, it was apparently covered up to a point that it wasn't even talked about in the media. Something like this, especially in such a close game, should have been thoroughly investigated.

And with this years situation, there should have been an outside source involved in the handling of the evidence, not a commissioner who is a known close friend of the Patriots owner.

Well your boy Emmitt Smith completely disagrees with your comment. He says the Commish has done a great job and in no way should any Senator or anyone else get involved in an NFL issue. Maybe Jones can be caught with some more guns and go out and get pacman to add with Tank haha.

Emmitt Smith is not my "boy", and I really don't care what he thinks. I don't base my opinions and thoughts on other people's opinions or thoughts.

Emmitt Smith is an authority on how to run a football, nothing more. The fact that he was a great running back doesn't make his opinions any more valid than mine, or anybody elses.

FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Pats deny report that worker filmed Rams before XXXVI

Here is an article pertaining to that alleged videotaping of the Superbowl with the Rams. Doesn't have a lot of facts in it, but it does have some interesting quotes from some people.

I do agree with you MOJO, that this case was something that was poorly handled. It is almost like you were caught cheating in Poker with your friends, and you sidestep it saying we'll toss out this hand, and let's call it a night. After you already have stacks and stacks of your opponents money in front of you. It is almost as though the league didn't want to dig deeper as they were in fear of what could come out. I actually fear what is going to turn up in the next couple of years, because that asterisk that baseball has on its league, now is showing up quite clearly in NFL's last couple Superbowls.

I would like to, but didn't get home early enough this week to make the trip. Probably about 10,000 people at Muddy Gras this year, most of them will be heading home today very hungover.

Exactly

It makes me ill to listen to all the excuses and rationalization of this whole situation. It's a case of blatant and unrelenting cheating. It makes me so angry to think about how they just probably continued taping the walk-throughs for the Super Bowls after they'd already won - just because they are not only cheaters, but unbelievably self-centered.

I mean, come on. If you've already won the trophy by cheating you could at least try to win it fairly from there on out. But they didn't stop dicking over every other city, even now when they had such an insane 2007-2008 team with more talent than anyone else they continued cheating in defiance of the league's crackdown. They'd still be taping and taking HGH today if they hadn't been caught. They have to be the most despicable team in Sports.

come on guys if you rooted for the team in the scandal you would defend them. Mojo did you say lock Irvin up when he was caught with coke or lock up Jones when he was caught with a gun; of course not. I also like Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens and think Lance Armstrong is probably the most amazing athlete of all time. Until proof comes they are innocent in my eyes.

You obviously don't know me too well I am usually the first to bash a Cowboy who is screwing up.

By the way, what is this gun thing you keep bring up with Jerry Jones?

First of all the Patriots did not 'whoop' the Eagles in the SB or this year. If the Eagles had taped your walk-through the day before, been involved in highly coordinated videotaping on game day and had been getting human growth hormone delivered to their houses maybe they could have accounted for those 3 points.

But you know what? The Eagles played fair, the way the game is meant to be played. A team that hasn't won the Super Bowl ever and hasn't won a football championship since the 1959-1960 season played fair against a team that had won their 2nd Super Bowl less than a year ago but still just couldn't help themselves from cheating.

It would be like the Yankees cheating to beat the Chicago Cubs in the world series. And your only response is "haha we whooped u"?

Wrong is wrong man. How can you a fan make an argument that says it was ok what they did or it was just couple video tapes, no big deal.

I honestly could say if the Colts were caught cheating, I would be embarrassed and ashamed to say that is the team I root for on Sunday. Not to mention, in the next sentence say there are one of the greatest teams of all time.

Well they didnt cheat this year and are 18-0. Even if they video taped the Jets they never used it as it was destroyed. As for the rest it is all hear say until there is proof.

Out of the 100 people On the countdown show on ESPN the only person that has said anything negative is Steve Young. Even classy Don Shula said no matter what they did not cheat this year.
