this is a mega signing for the jets who went from an atrocious line a couple of years ago to one of the best now. if a few things bounce right and mr mcfadden falls to #6 as well and gets to run behind this line, watch out! he could run for 2000 in his first season!

This was a big signing, I figured this would be one of the first guys to be snatched up.

Nice move by the Jets. They started building a Oline using early picks on O linemen. Now they appear to have hit Free Agency at just the right time to add a key addition to that line. Teams seem to be a little more willing to invest early picks on the Oline after the jets had success doing it.

Are we sure about Faneca going to the Jets?

I also saw on NFL network that he was still deciding.

This is from yahoo.

• Faneca mulling offers: Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca will not be taking any visits this free agent period, choosing instead to hash out several offers, a source told Yahoo! Sports. The New York Jets, St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers currently are in the mix, and Faneca could have a deal signed by Sunday. He is expected to ink a deal that ranges between four and five years at $32-$40 million.

I don't trust anyone. And the deal is not official, just reported in the original link as agreed to in principal. I'd say this is 98% done at this point.
