Sources State Pac-Man to Dallas is a done deal.

Sources have told ESPN that the deal to send Pac-Man Jones to Dallas for a 4th rounder is a done deal.

There are also conditions in the deal concerning his re-instatement and playing time, the Titans could receive an additional pick in 09 if he plays a certain amount of time. If he is not reinstated, Tennessee will send an undisclosed draft pick in 09 to Dallas.

ESPN - Cowboys agree on deal to acquire Pacman from Titans - NFL

Mojo, you got your wish, Pac-Man is a Cowboy. Personally I don't think he will be reinstated this year, comi-commish will find a reason....

If he does get reinstated I have little doubt it will be temporarily as he won't be able to keep his nose out of trouble.

However, the risk for the Cowboys is minimal and the upside is tremendous. Not a bad move for them.

This actually works out pretty well for them. if he isn't reinstated, the cowboys will get their pick back in 09, and will still have the exclusive rights to Pacman in 09. Whether he gets reinstated this year or next, it's still a pretty good decision...barring pacman becoming Vick's cellmate that is.

If Dallas has a drought, PacMan can make it rain at any time.

I was potentially very happy when this was announced. Now it all comes down to whether Goodell can get over his personal grudge against PacMan or not because it is well past time to let the guy back on the field.

I see no reason to not reinstate Pacman now. He has either served his just punishment or hasn't. No need for this drag it out drama.

Just for the record...was Pacman ever convicted of any of the charges??? I know he is guilty of being monumentally stupid, and running with the wrong crowd.....but I don't remember that being against the rules.

Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys CB Pacman Jones' deal with the team is worth $13.3 million for four years. Jones does have a chance to earn more money if he hits escalators that could raise his 2011 base salary. If he is reinstated by the NFL by commissioner Roger Goodell this year, he will earn a $700,000 base salary without a signing bonus. If Jones is named to two Pro Bowls or intercepts seven passes in any two of the first three seasons and participates in 65 percent of the snaps, his base salary would jump to the 2011 franchise tender.

Sounds like a fair deal.

I like Dallas going after this guy, hell I was pushing for it several months ago (once again, Jerry logged into the Outlaw, seen what I wanted, and made it happen)

It was also a very smart move by Dallas to draft another top rated corner.

If all this works out well, this will be a complete 180 for the Cowboys secondary, especially in nickel downs.
