| who me? Admin | Aaron Rodgers Vs. Brian Brohm - Green Bay's Future Brett Favre is gone, and when Aaron Rodgers replaces him this year, he has got a huge pair of shoes to fill, and given the history of replacing legends, his chances of survival are slim. Steve Young did it well after Montana. Danny White did it well following Staubach, although nobody was ever happy with White. It took Aikman to finally shut the Dallas fans up. The list of failures far outnumber the success stories though in this scenario. So, what does Green Bay do? The smart thing. They know Rodgers, especially given his early signs of being frail, is quite possibly doomed. They took a great opportunity in the draft, swooping up Brian Brohm, who will likely be leading a good, young, Packers team within a year, and leading them into the playoffs. Sucks for Rodgers, but I just think the cards are stacked up way too high against him. Which one of these guys do you see as the future in Green Bay? Or is it neither?

| Outlaw | Wasn't McCarthy SF's coordinator when they chose Alex Smith before Rodgers? Anyway, Brohm's the future for a couple reasons in my eyes. 1) Rodgers gets pretty banged up for the little time he sees action, and 2) drafting skill guys is one of the classic ways coaches like to make it "their" team. I should've moved Willie Parker when Tomlin took over, and if I had Rodgers I'd be looking to move him before the bottom falls out. |

| Deputy Premium Member Moderator | Brohm. He is a better Qb already over Rodgers. Rodgers will have to prove he can stay healthy...which I simply don't think he can.

| Water Boy | I'll give him a chance I'll give Rodgers a chance. I am sad to see Brett go, but I think him leaving was more to do with Thompson then the Packers organization will say. So with that being said, I think its time we see what Rodgers can do. I like Brohm alot, but he hasnt thrown one NFL pass yet, so I'll stick with Rodgers until he can't do the job. |
