I dunno, it's clearly the WR flyer time. Everyone is going to get someone they like, because everyone likes someone different. I'm quite happy to see Avery, Simpson, Kelly, and now Nelson go off the board. I don't really care for any of them, and guys I like more are falling. I'm sure that's true for everyone. Hooray crapshoot lottery tickets!

I would say all the WRs are crapshoot lotery tickets this year...I don't see any that really say...I AM AN NFL LOCK.

So I think you can say any are a reach. A few have some higher value if you include return yards...but we aren't.

I like the Jordy Nelson pick. He wasn't going to be on the board much longer, that is for sure. Not a lot of experience at wide receiver, but seemed to be a natural when he converted. He is also guaranteed to get key reps in mini-camps and training camp as there will be QB controversy going on in Green Bay.

Not too early for Simpson, given the fact that whichever rookie receiver steps up is going to get decent playing time in Cincy. Question is, is Simpson that rookie receiver? 3rd round Caldwell might be more NFL ready.

i thought the same thing. its nice that theyre drafting lots of rookie WRs cuz you know some of them get time, but who's to say which one it is?

After Sweed, the next 4 WRs could have gone in pretty much any order. They all have about the same chance at succeeding IMO. I was surprised Flacco (or another QB) didn't go somewhere in there. Given the 4pt per passing TD I can see QBs being devalued a bit but BAL moving up like they did in the 1st to get Flacco says they're going to get him in there, very soon. I think he has the same if not better chance at succession than the 4 WRs taken before him.

Yeah I was surprised Flacco hadn't gone yet. I would rather have him than Ryan personally and figure they're both guys that should fall into that late 1st sort of range. I don't care for him much in Baltimore but probably would've had to take a starter by 2.7 if he was still there.

Here's hoping those 4 WRs go about there like you all seem to expect, and allow other players to fall to me. I don't like any of em.

Charles Pick - Don't care for it at all, but with all rookie drafts these lotto ticket RB's always get taken at this time. I'm not wild about him as I think he's simply too small to carry any real work load at the NFL level and his fumbling problems concern me as well.

Sweed, love the pick, it was a toss up with him and Thomas. In the end, Sweed's speed and the fact that he never fully lived up to expectations at Texas concerned me just enough to give Thomas the nod, but can't fault Sweed at all.

Simpson - Long term, this could be a very nice pick. The opportunity is there, he just needs to grab it. May struggle the first year or so, but if he can play up to his raw talent level the kid can be a star. But as with any WR in this draft, could be a bust as well.

Avery - Not sure what to think about Avery. I'm not real high on him yet, but the Rams obviously have a plan for him, and Bennett is not real realiable, so he should get some opps.

Kelly - Another guy I like. Has the size to be a threat and I think his game speed is better then his timed speed.

Flacco - Not a fan and see bust written all over him, but good value for the spot if you see him developing into something.

Torian - Reach, but so is everyone at this point. I think this pick is a waste, but you never know with Shanny. For all we know he could be cut in training camp, or go on to rush for 1200 yds....

Brohm - Love his long term potential. If you draft him, you may have to be patient, but I see him as the best QB in this draft and should have the most long term success.

Doucet - Getting thin on WR's at this point. Doucet is a solid guy, but I don't see him being more then a 3 WR in the NFL.

I don't get the Sweed love. His athletic ability is mediocre, and isn't there still talk of him not being recovered from wrist surgery.

The wrist surgery isn't a big concern to me, I'm looking long term on him, not immediate impact the first few weeks. I have not heard any long term concerns about the wrist.

Nice pick by Bomb in Torain, that was the guy I had pegged for my upcoming pick.

I didn't like the Flacco pick, given that Brohm was there for the taking. I think Brohm has much more potential in the league.

One more comment on Charles

As much as I fear his fumbling problems and didn't like the pick here, I just drafted him with the 13th pick in a dynasty draft

I was desperate for another running back to go with my genius pick of Johnson, LOL

Haha, I knew that pick was coming. I was surprised you didn't take Kelly with all of your love there. I was counting on that one. Also, like I said earlier, I definitely think the Johnson pick makes more sense in HG where there are points for receptions and kick yards.

I wondered when Torain might have been taken, as he is a complete wildcard to me, someone I'm not even sure what I think about. I have two picks OTC right now in the dynasty draft and am not really considering him unless I have a change of heart.

If I hadn't taken Torain, it was either Brohm or Keller. I love Brohm but am not sure he's going to be successful for awhile if at all in that sticky situation. And Keller I read up on, figuring I might be set to take him with one of my aforementioned dynasty picks (Mojo actually just took him instead), and I didn't like anything I read really. For one thing, the Jets have two very solid WRs that vulture most of the pass game. Two, Chris Baker is a solid TE and won't just disappear, but at the same time he's only been a 40/400/3 sort of guy of late. I wasn't sure I could see Keller being much different than that. Most drafts have a "special talent" TE, a Vernon Davis or a Greg Olsen type. Keller went in the 1st, but I don't feel that he fits that group.

Hardly knocking the pick -- hard to knock taking a likely starting TE from the 1st round as the 22nd pick -- but he was someone I considered and just didn't buy into.

Keller - I was surprised Keller fell to where he did. He was a consideration when I picked Nelson, and may have been a better selection there. Keller is a great value for Mojo this late and should be able to become a starter in time for fantasy teams. I actually like him better then Olsen from a year ago. Keller has good hands and the ability to stretch the middle of the field.

Okay first want to address the Caldwell pick. I was going to say this when the discussion came up for Simpson..but knew this pick would come. I have two mantras now in Fantasy dynasty rookie drafts. The one that applies here is NEVER pick a USC or Florida Wr. NEVER. At least not now. They simply don't pan out. I have heard alot of hype on Caldwell, but I am betting he ends up like the other Caldwell in the NFL.

As for Keller, having seen him play alot in the big 10...I like him..but I don't like him in NYJ land. Qbs are a question and as Da bomb stated..most passes go to Wr or Rb.
