I guess the word I am having trouble with is "mediocre". Linemen for zone blocking schemes are smaller, I don't think because they are easier to get, but more because of their increased agility. I think the larger bodies more often have trouble succeeding in a zone blocking scheme.

To me, it is more of a case of choosing the type of blocking you want to do, and getting the players that best fit it.

Or maybe I am just partial to overprotecting the little guy

Former Chicago Bears running back Cedric Benson has been ordered to install an ignition lock breathalyzer in his car. Benson is facing separate charges of boating and driving while intoxicated. Travis County Court-at-Law Judge Elisabeth Earle ordered him to install the device as a condition of his bail at a pretrial hearing Monday.

Man, I HATE these things! I have never had to use one myself, but when I work in the dealership I would have to start cars that were hooked up with this thing to get them in and out of the shop to work on them.

Really sucked if we had taken a long lunch and had a couple beers

You see the idea of the breathalyzer is to keep anyone from operating the motor vehicle while legally intoxicated. Whether it be the owner of the vehicle after their 3rd DWI or the buzzed guy at the shop. LOL

As for Benson in Atlanta as Turner's backup, the only thing that would shy me away fro that though is what the team just went through with Vick. Would they risk another player with issues this year?

And you base this assumption off what?

You are more than half right...but I believe that Chris Brown is going to take over the starting gig in Houston before training camp is done.

I agree that Chris Brown is the best RB for the Texans right now. Signing Benson wouldn't be a bad idea if he is not suspended for more than 6 games. Hard to see Brown holding up for even half a season, I don't think he's ever played a full season in his career. Still not good but probably better than the alternative.

I'm an attorney. My husband was a district attorney and is board certified in criminal defense. A ton of our friends are judges, DAs and defense attorneys.

So, in my experience, if you already have an arrest record for DUI, and you get pulled over late at night, you are more likely to be asked to do field sobriety tests. The police run your license from the car to see what sort of bad persons you are.

Best information says Ced was talking up Houston but Houston is not interested.

No telling who will be the guy in Houston, but do not underestimate what Alex Gibbs may be able to do running the line in a Kubiak oriented way.

I think that no player for the Texans would really surprise me emerging out of camp.

Best looking guys without pads on in OTAs were Chris Taylor and Steve Slaton. (according to reports from folks I trust). Slaton was getting a lot of ooohs from the defense once he hit holes.

I think whoever emerges from training camp in one piece is going to be the man, sort of the Denver way. It would not surprise me if Ahman Green got cut if he shows that he may not be able to go. I think his contract was a two year experiment, but they will ditch him if they don't think they can rely on him.

Interesting. Driver of vehicle is asked to exit vehicle and perform a field sobriety test based on the officers observation of the drivers arrest record.

As an attorney, what would you call that?

It's certainly not racial profiling.
Really no different than a police officer staking out a house where a known coke head lives.
If you've been busted driving drunk already you better expect this kind of future treatment.
