| Bloggin' Outlaw Premium Member Forum Leader | Pats QB Tom Brady: First Round Value? Tom Brady is envoking a lot of Hype, first rounder says many folks. The Hypers say, don't worry we only think Brady will get 44 TDs this year we are not unrealistic. Try more like 30. ![]()

| Who Me? Admin | No QB is ever a first round value for me. I do think he'll be in the 35-40 TD range, but even at that, I'll pass and find value later on for QB.

| Yeah.......That's me! | I like Big Ben in the 5th, allwing me to land 2 rb's and 2wr's , before diving in the Qb pool. If choosing between Romo and brees, I'dwait the exrtra round and grab brees in the 4th. |

| Outlaw | I agree RC, only once have I taken a QB before the 4th round (Culpepper in 04 @ 2.15 I think) and I usually wait until the 5th and load up at RB and WR. The Culpepper pick was a homerun that particular year, but I've seen plenty of high QB picks hold a team back from a playoff run. |

| Outlaw | Anderson over Palmer?? Are you joking?? I honestly have Anderson as my 7th-9th QB. I know that sounds ridiculously low to some of you but it's reality. When I spend a pick in the 1st 6 rounds on a QB he better be a proven commodity. I'd rather have Hass or McNabb over Anderson. |

| Outlaw | What if your leagues scoring for QBs is set to 1 pt/20 yards, 6 pts/TD? Is a 1st round pick on Brady still a stretch? |

| Genibus Nitito Canus Premium Member Forum Leader | Brady was a 400-500 point performer last year. Lots of systems are projecting this guy at 380-440 points. Absolutely a guy of that power is a 1st round pick, if you look at getting the most points. |

| Genibus Nitito Canus Premium Member Forum Leader | No. Depends on the value. Your drafting to win here. If a guy thats going to give you 400 points is on the board and the other available guys are only going to give you 320-340, Youd be dumb to pass on him, especially late in the 1st approaching the turn, when your can sew up a good RB and GREAT QB. |

| Bloggin' Outlaw Premium Member Forum Leader | Yes, You have to look at comparative value. All QBs in this league score at the same higher rate and relate to each other in the same way. Brady scores more in this system but so does Garrard or Rivers. Bigger numbers but the same relative performance to every other QB as in a league with more conservative scoring. |

Oh, and in this league there is a 2 point bonus at 300 yards

I like the Idea of having a top 5 QB in this system too. But do I still go Brady in the first? I noticed when you mentioned QBs you need to have in this system you mentioned 6 QBs. I will grab one of the other 5 a little later thank you. ![]()

So lets say I pick 7th in this 10 team league. 1.07 for Brady. Nope. 2.04 for Peyton? Maybe. 2.04 for Romo? Nope. 3.07 for Romo? HELL YES. 3.07 for Palmer? Maybe 4.04 for Palmer? HELL YES. 4.04 for Brees? Yes. 4.04 for Big Ben? Nope 5.07 for Big Ben? Yes sir. The way it looks is that I need the pace of the draft to be take the shape of RB/RB like many drafts do if I want one of these guys at a good price.
