| A.D.I.D.A.S Premium Member | NFL personal conduct policy General policy Engaging in violent and/or criminal activity is unacceptable and constitutes conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the National Football League. Such conduct alienates the fans on whom the success of the League depends and has negative and sometimes tragic consequences for both the victim and the perpetrator. The League is committed to promoting and encouraging lawful conduct and to providing a safe and professional workplace for its employees. Persons covered by policy The following persons ("Covered Persons") shall be considered subject to this Policy: (i) all players under contract; (ii) all full-time employees of the National Football League, its Member Clubs and related entities; (iii) all rookie players once they are selected in the NFL college draft; and (iv) all undrafted rookie players, unsigned veterans and other prospective employees once they commence negotiations with a Club concerning employment. Prohibited conduct It will be considered conduct detrimental for Covered Persons to engage in (or to aid, abet or conspire to engage in or to incite) violent and/or criminal activity. Examples of such Prohibited Conduct include, without limitation: any crime involving the use or threat of physical violence to a person or persons; the use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime; possession or distribution of a weapon in violation of state or federal law; involvement in "hate crimes" or crimes of domestic violence; theft, larceny or other property crimes; sex offenses; racketeering; money laundering; obstruction of justice; resisting arrest; fraud; and violent or threatening conduct. Additionally, Covered Persons shall not by their words or conduct suggest that criminal activity is acceptable or condoned within the NFL. Persons charged with criminal activity Any Covered Person arrested for or charged with conduct prohibited by this policy will be required to undergo a consultation and additional counseling as directed. Failure to comply with the consultation and counseling (including being arrested for or charged with additional criminal activity during the evaluation and counseling period) shall itself be conduct detrimental to the National Football League and shall be punishable by fine or suspension at the discretion of the Commissioner. Disposition of the criminal proceeding Any Covered Person convicted of or admitting to a criminal violation (including a plea to a lesser included offense; a plea of nolo contendere or no contest; or the acceptance of a diversionary program, deferred adjudication, disposition of supervision, or similar arrangement) will be subject to discipline as determined by the Commissioner. Such discipline may include a fine, suspension without pay and/or banishment from the League. Any Covered Person convicted of or admitting to a second criminal violation will be suspended without pay or banished for a period of time to be determined by the Commissioner. Persons engaged in violent activity in the workplace Every employee is entitled to a safe and professional workplace free of criminal behavior, violence and threats against personal safety. Criminal conduct in the workplace or against other employees is prohibited. Any Covered Person who commits or threatens violent acts against co-workers, regardless of whether an arrest is made or criminal charges are brought, shall be subject to evaluation, counseling and discipline, including termination of employment. Duty to report prohibited conduct To ensure the effective administration of the policy, the League must be advised when a Covered Person engages in Prohibited Conduct. The obligation to report an arrest or criminal charge extends to both the person involved and to the Club or League entity for which he or she works. When a person subject to this policy is arrested or charged with Prohibited Conduct, that information must be reported to the Club and NFL Security. Failure to report an incident will constitute conduct detrimental and will be taken into consideration in the final determination of discipline under this policy. Appeal rights Any person disciplined under this policy shall have a right of appeal, including a hearing, before the Commissioner or his designee. Except for the enforcement of a suspension, no other requirements set forth in the policy will be stayed pending the completion of the appeal. ___________________________________________ Each and every player in the NFL knows what they are getting into going in. They are expected to be mature responsible adults. Obviously doesn't always happen, some of these athletes have been pampered and been covered for since somebody first got a sniff of their talent. Punishment doesn't always fit the crime, but they do know there will be punishment for the crimes, so I don't feel the least bit sorry for any of them. Just my .02. |

| Thats Mr. Slabaugh to you | It really doesn't matter. In the court of public opinion these guys are judged innocent or guilty immediately. As the CEO of a company be it McDonald's or the NFL it is my duty to have my product viewed in a postive manner and take the necessary actions to keep it that way. Getting in trouble with the law detracts from your product so the public must see that something is taking place to correct the situation. Innocent or guilty the best these guys can say is that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time and I'm sick of these guys feeling like they can do no wrong. |

| Outlaw | All I have to say is look at the integrity of Baseball after turning the other cheek to most of the league doing steroids or other performance enhancing drugs. Look at the state of the NBA after a gambling scandal. Goodell is actually trying to clean up his sport and I say all the power to him. Most of these clowns would have been released by there respected teams in the old days. Now they care more about winning then the product. |

| Outlaw | okok... so the main question here is, does this make Marshall that big of a bargain now? Like obviously he's going to drop from his 3rd round ADP in most leagues, when are you guys jumping on board? Cause lets be realistic, even if he 's gone for 8 weeks, he will be back after that, and the broncos dont exactly have any WRs that scare me into thinking when he returns, he wont be back producing as a stud.... do you jump on board in late round 4? are you waiting until round 5? 6? Please dont reply back just to tell me "he'll by gone by the time i want him", im more interested in where people are targeting him ![]() |

| A.D.I.D.A.S Premium Member | To be honest the only player from Denver I have targeted is Cutler, and with the possibility of Marshall being out 4-8 weeks, he is not much of a target anymore. Cutler I figured I could get a good deal on if he was available 9th round or later. Marshall I probably would have taken around 4-5th round(because of the arm issues) depending on the league. Until the possible suspension is figured out he has dropped way down for me, 10th or later to be honest. |

| Outlaw | no way.... you cant be serious here! I mean, we're talking about a top 3 round pick if this playing. There is no way your drafting in round 9, and he's there, and your like "oh no, i rather draft Bryant Johnson or Sidney Rice" (i have no idea about ADPs, just throwing some names out)"..... at some point, Marshall has to become worthy. Im wondering if i should use this chance to trade Roddy White to get him in a 1 year PPR league. |

| A.D.I.D.A.S Premium Member | At least for me, that's where he stays until this mess is figured out. I don't want to have to wait for 8 weeks for my draft pick to play and then possibly another week or two for him to get in rhythm and up to game speed. If there is short or no suspension then yeah, I agree with you. |

| Thats Mr. Slabaugh to you | My fantasy football philosophy is winning through consistency. I want my top RB, QB, and WR to give me a solid predictable baseline of points each week. In Brandon Marshall's case I just don't see him falling so far that he becomes a great value. In the couple of drafts I've already been a part of he has gone no later than the 4th round. In and around the fourth round there are still very consistent starters at all positions available and personally I'll let someone else take the gamble on him. If he pans out more power to ya, if he doesn't I guarantee that team will struggle to make the playoffs. |

| Outlaw | 3 down to 2 . . . DENVER -- Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall will be suspended for three games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, according to a report on the NFL Network. Marshall The report cited NFL sources. It also said the suspension could be trimmed to two games if Marshall agrees to undergo counseling. Marshall met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in the commissioner's New York office on July 18. Marshall is scheduled to go on trial in September after a drunk driving arrest in October 2007. In addition to that arrest, he was arrested on a domestic-violence warrant filed by his former girlfriend in Atlanta on March 6. Charges were dropped. He has been arrested three times since joining the NFL in 2006. Marshall caught 102 passes for 1,325 yards and seven touchdowns last season. If he is suspended, Marshall will still be able to practice during the preseason. However, he will miss the start of the regular season and can't practice after Sept. 2 while he is suspended. Denver opens Sept. 8 in Oakland, then hosts San Diego on Sept. 14. |
