Jeff Garcia is a very talented QB and a tough dude. He's strong mentally and can still take a whollop. He's backed up great QBs before and was ready to play when they went down. I wish all the best for Garcia this season, no matter what happens.

Remember when TO called Garcia ?

Fantasy wise, the jets would be a great oppurtunity. Cole/Cotch/Keller/Faneca/Jones, and what full back did they grab?

I would like to see him go to the Jets. I think Favre to the Jets makes that team an instant contender for the playoffs, plus gives Mangini and Co the chance to draft a real QB prospect in the 09 draft, jettison Pennington, and let the new guy and Clemens learn under a master.

yeah but will favre stick around to tutor these young arms? Another thing is that a lot of what made favre so great was the fact that he had the arm strength to get the ball where he wanted and he took risks. Is he really the best mentor for a young qb anyways. Dont get me wrong, i would love favre to the jets but just seeing if he is such a great mentor. I am probably gonna get slammed for this one.

Take what you can get dude.

Pennington IMO is a dead stick. Clemens isnt learning anything from him. Favre may have a gun slingers mind..but come on Deuce..he has seen EVERYTHING there is to see and been in EVERY situation you can think of.

Bo Bucs beat The Packers

They play each other this year in September I believe. I hope Farve beats up on his old redneck coach. Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson are nuts !

I guess everyone forgets that they were going to take him back just a few months ago and Favre stuck it to them and said no Im not coming back.

Continue to believe its the Management when in reality its just te selfishness of one man. The one man who has always said its about the team and not the records. The one man that everyone had respect for until this incident. If he cared about his team, he wouldnt have done what he did.

Bottom line is Favre liked the publicity.

I actually hope it's the other way around. I hope Favre gets slammed by every one of his old LBs. I hope they even talk some trash to him when he's picking himself up off the turf.

He would love it too much, and they know that. He would beat them for sure then.

Favre is too old and can't take the punishment? Seriously?

Both of these guys are 38 years old, Favre is less than 4 months older than Garcia.

Which of these QB's have missed the most time with injuries? Which one is injured right now?

Not everyone forgets. He's been given a long leash the last few years and he finally hung himself with it.

Also, unlike Favre, GB management has to think long-term beyond this season.

Maybe the Packers are going about this all wrong. Maybe they should get rid of Rodgers, and groom Brohm under Favre. By the 2010 season (when Favre actually hangs it up) Brohm should be great.
