I was digging through some old FF magazines when I came across PFW's 2003 FF guide and noticed the draft board which had Ricky Williams ranked as the #2 RB and #2 regardless of position and Rich Gannon(talk about your bad omens) as the #1 QB and #4 regardless of position. It also had Vick as the #2 QB and Pennington at #6 who if I recall both went down that preseason. In their 2004 edition they still listed Vick #2 and he did not live up to that ranking and they had McNair at #6. They had Priest #1 overall and at RB and he misssed half the season. Could PFW be the FF version of the sports illustrated jinx?

I don't think PFW was much different than other preseason rankings.

You are probably right I just found it a little strange how the #1, 2, and 6 were so similar as far as the bad luck factor for two straight seasons.

Does anyone remember a commercial last year during the football season, where guys were sitting around preseason talking about their teams? Miami fan was like..."Ricky Williams - all he cares about is winning football games".......Oakland fan....."Gannon to Rice - all year long, baby".....Pittsburgh guy "Who's this quarterback they drafted? Ben Rothlis something? Nice pick, Cowher!" THAT was a funny commercial.

Oh my! That was hilarious! And, at the end the guy is laying on the couch and he screams out..."Roethisberger! That's it!"..
