Adam "Pacman" Jones Fully Renistated by NFL

I felt that Roger Goodell would have no choice at this point but to fully reinstate Pacman Jones, but knowing Goodell's obvious dislike of the guy, I wasn't going to hold my breath until it was officially announced.

At least he didn't wait until after the 30th cutdown date to tell the team...

yeah, this was obviously going to happen. should be a fun addition, and a fun practice bit seeing TO and pacman go at it every day.

PACMAN WAS AT HOOTERS WHEN HE GOT THE NEWS
Posted by Michael David Smith on August 28, 2008, 1:55 p.m.

One of the things we’ve learned about Adam “Pacman” Jones in the last couple of years is that he spends a lot of time at strip clubs, and that trouble seems to follow him when he’s there.

So it’s good to know that Jones has now started spending his time at establishments where the female employees wear a bit more clothing.

Jones was at Hooters when he got the phone call informing him that his suspension is over, Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Jones told Watkins, “It feels good man, you know, to get a second chance and I just have to take advantage of it. First and foremost, I don’t want to let myself down, definitely my little girl down. I’m thankful for Jerry [Jones], the fans in Dallas and my teammates for believing in me. I need to keep doing what I’ve been doing to get reinstated staying with myself and my teammates and staying away from those knuckleheads and just stay focused.”

The “knuckleheads” Jones refers to are apparently the circle of friends who have been blamed by some for the off-field trouble Jones has gotten into. A lot of that trouble has happened in and around strip clubs. Hopefully there are no “knuckleheads” at Hooters.

A nice boost for the Dallas Defense. Glad to see it finally official, should have been done earlier.

Anyone who has been watching HBO's Hard Knocks would know that this isn't exactly a huge addition to the Cowboys. Yes this guy is a talented athlete but he is primarily a man cover guy. They have shown and spoken about how Adam has a lot of trouble with his coverage in zone which Dallas likes to employ about 40-50% of the time.

I don't see him making a HUGE impact on this defense. He'll help the man defense and might hurt the zone defenses. Hell, he might not even be involved in some of the zone packages unless he really starts to pick it up soon.

That was early, while he was picking up the defense. He has it down now.

It is looking like when they bring out multiple corners that it will be Newman covering the guy in the slot, with Jones and Henry on the outside. I can't even begin to say how big of a boost this brings to this secondary in these situations.

having three starting caliber corners on your roster is a luxury in the NFL. Dallas could ultimately have 4 with Jenkins. Massive improvement from last season,or hell, the last several years.
