Yeah its all about a stupid fantasy football team when a great player and a great person just went down with a severe injury. If its your wish for a guy to be severely injured so you can win at Fantasy Football then there are some real problems.

EMail from Joe Bryant. Just reporting what other sites are saying though

Quote:
Hi Folks,

This is NOT official yet but WEEI is reporting that Patriots QB Tom Brady has a torn
ACL.

Link: BostonHerald.com - Blogs: The Point After Blog Archive WEEI: Brady has torn ACL

Clipped from the BostonHerald.com article:

WEEI: Brady has torn ACL

WEEI’s Ron Borges is reporting that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady suffered a
torn ACL today, citing an NFL source close to the situation. If true, Brady is
likely done for the season.

[[[[[[ OUR VIEW ]]]]]]

Again, this is not official from the team. Although the Patriots will likely be the
last folks on the planet to admit an injury to Brady.

We'll obviously stay on top of this one for you. But it's not looking good.

You can see a picture at this link: ESPN - Brady suffer knee injury and Pats don't sound optimistic - NFL

Knees are not meant to bend this way. As we told you minutes after the injury,
Matt Cassel is obviously the guy to grab. He looked less than impressive in the
preseason but looked pretty good in this game today. He was 13 of 18 for 152 yards with
no INT and 1 nice TD. He is obviously not Tom Brady. But he has nice weapons around
him and Bill Belichick behind him. So that's worth a lot.

We'll stay on this one for you of course.

NBC's Al Michaels said on Sunday Night Football that free agent Chris Simms will work out for the Patriots on Monday.
If you were still holding out hope that Tom Brady might be O.K., here's another strong indication he isn't. Simms has never played in an offense like the Pats' and would likely take several weeks to be game-ready if he signed.

They would throw Simms in as fast as possible. Had Pennington stayed in NY, the Pats could afford to lose 4 or 5 games and still win the AFC East. With Favre there, the Jets just became contenders to win the division.

Like I care. I'm not a Patriots fan. I didn't wish it on him, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to sport a smile ear to ear when he goes down.

Bad karma? I don't care. I think karma was catching up with this team for running up the score all damn year last year.

anyone think it'd be kinda funny if this was just belichick's way of getting everyone in the nfl back for everything? this is all just one huge elaborate hoax, brady's "out" and then he just shows up and starts next week against... yep... the new york jets.

seriously, anyone putting this past belicheat? im not.

Whatever. I'm not going to pretend to feel all bad for Tom Brady and the Patriots. They've been the most successful team in football in this decade.

Ya'll can sit around and feel sorry for him if you want. I'm personally looking forward to the Jets beating the Pats next weekend.

Tough break. Was that a 3rd down when they normally would have Kevin Faulk in to pick up blitzers?

First, I got to agree..to be happy a guy got hurt is really low.

Second, don't forget folks, there was a team in the NE...that lost it's starting Qb in 2001...and then went on to win the superbowl. Yeah...it was NE...and it was Brady in for Bledsoe. Not saying Cassell is the end all be all...but they can still win. I also don't think you bring in a Qb from outside...and expect him to start anytime soon...or win.

I'd agree Phic only if Cassell wasn't on the cut block this preseason.

Cassel. The same QB who Brady had to re suit up for because he was blowing a game the Pats were winning handily.

Yep. Time to get another QB in there...and fast. Hindsight being 20.20, but having a Quinn Gray in camp with the Patriots would have helped em now.

Unlikely to happen but trading for Fitzgerald from Cincy would be a great choice.
Wicked smawt, and Housh believes he should be starting in the league.

i think it's all speculation at this point, although it's well founded just by the looks of the hit . . . but, all i've heard is the mri is scheduled for today, so all the news isn't fact . . . at least not yet . . .
