Nate Burleson To IR - Torn Knee Ligament

NFL.com reports Seattle Seahawks WR Nate Burleson (knee) suffered an apparent knee injury during the team's Week 1 game.

One of our favorite sleepers Nate had 5 catches for 60 Yards and a TD before going down with the knee injury. The Seahawks WR corps isn't catching any breaks at this point. Needless to say owners should be concerned and keep an eye on this. Seahawks fans Too!!!

Yep. I had Hass targeted late for a decent starting option. Then Buffalo broke both feet off in Seattle's ass.

Not that super stud Julius Jones helped or anything....

reports are a sprained knee and burleson was optimistic that he'd be able to play in week 2, although holmgren not as much so.

It will be interesting to see what happens this week. There are grades of severity as far as knee sprains go. Generally, a knee sprain is not a come back and play next week injury.

That offense was a disaster, especially in the beginning. Morris started at running back, the team only had one legit receiver, and Hasselbeck was on his back more than he was upright.

Absolute disaster of a game for the Seahawks in every aspect of the game. Losing Burleson was just adding injury to insult.

a knee sprain and a hammy are not the same. if they just let him heal for a week or two, he'll be just fine.

I think he is commenting on my Stallworth part Deux comment. He is right in that the injuries are different, he is wrong in that it makes a difference here.

Bad bad news here Outlaws, Mort just reports that the Seahawks just released that Burleson has a torn ACL and is out for the season. A bad situation in Seattle is getting worse. I will look for a link and get it up soon.

I was afraid of this. I wonder if the Seahawks have a curse or some such on Wrs?

So, we know Burleson is out, Branch is still iffy, Engram is out. Obamanu, Taylor and who??

If Morris is also seriously hurt...this team is in a world of hurt.

Then that's that, no need to give some other site yet another free link.

That is good enough for me.

I was trying real hard to get Burleson from an AD owner, and he just e-mailed that he would do it! Sorry Charlie! I do not feel very good about these two games tonight, the way players are dropping like flies.

I think John Carlson becomes a very feasible fantasy player now. He had a decent game in week 1 and his targets should only increase from here on out.
