Post John Kitna Placed On Injured Reserve

According to one news source, the back injury is worse than expected, and no trade will happen. Thus they will place him on IR.

Let's see if Orlovsky can stay out of his own endzone this week. He didn't even know he was running out of bounds last week.

I'd say yes. Let's face it, the Lions can't get worse.

Translation - If Kitna isn't traded, we don't care how healthy he is, we are moving on.

If you plug in Stanton behind this terrible line will you lose him the way the Texans lost Carr? Meaning he will never be an NFL Qb.

What does this do to the fantasy value of Cal and Roy?

Cal was still able to produce 85 yards and TD with DanO at QB. Can this continue?

Hard to gauge it right now. Stanton is just coming back from a thumb injury. he did some light working out last week. He needs to practice some more and get some reps. Might be a couple of weeks before a start.

Good question indeed. Hard to figure as we have seen how much the Pats WRs have diminised with Cassell. Lions WRs might fare a little better. With the season down the tubes the backup may get a better chance/ opertunity to open it up a bit.

Don't forget that CJ may have suffered a concussion.

Detroits WRs were dead in the water week 1 I wouldnt start any of them unless your WR core is garbage the WW has to look better than either. OK so CJ had a great game against MIn but thats about it.

Question answered

The Detroit Lions have announced they have placed QB Jon Kitna (back) on Injured Reserve, ending his 2008 season.

Furrey or McDonald? I know it doesn't really matter. I think this team can now lose them all. Rudi has got to be really bumming.

Johnson is now in the same boat as Dwayne Bowe. Decent weekly ff start? Yup. Elite potential? Not this year as the Lions have given up.
