| who me? Admin | My thoughts from the other thread: It is really going to depend on what Orlovsky and then maybe Stanton can do at the QB position. Also, we now get to find out what Calvin Johnson can do as "the" guy in the offense. There will be much guessing involved, and those who guess right will surely pound their chests because they "knew" what would happen ![]() The Lions are going through a ton of change at this point, could be more changes coming in regards to playing time for players. It is clearly "evaluation" at this point. |

| A.D.I.D.A.S Premium Member Forum Leader | With the loss of Williams and QB questions you would have to switch to a more RB oriented offense wouldn't you? I couldn't even name Detroit's #3 or #4 WR but I would think they would be the ones to benefit as Johnson is likely to be looking at plenty of double teams. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | there are any number of WRs in the league that have very little else on the team and get plenty of stats. andre johnson comes to mind, brandon marshall last year. if the WR is freakishly talented enough, he can get the numbers on his own. roy was doing very little this year to distract defenses, so i dont think it will make a big impact. the bigger impact by far will be made at QB in my opinion. with kitna supposedly out all year, that leaves detroit with one of the worst QB situations in the league, and megatron owners are going to be frustrated by the lack of any real consistency there. |

| Outlaw | I'm a little nervous about the situation surrounding Calvin as it appears to be getting gradually worse from an offensive standpoint. I think Calvin Johnson's situation is probably similar to Dwyane Bowe in KC - a talented young WR with little else on offense, little in the way of QBing... but they feed him the ball a lot. |

| Deputy Premium Member Forum Leader | Detroit players in general are hurt in value due to loss of Qb, not Williams. But yes, he will struggle with no one to really gain protection from. On a side note....McDonald might be a heck of a sleeper now, with all coverage going to Johnson |

| Who Me? Admin | I agree with Phic, McDonald should see a much bigger role now, and is a decent WR. Who knows what Calvin's value will be, with the QB's they have I'm worried, but again, it's more b/c of the QB's and not the loss of Williams. CJ is a hell of a talent, now is his chance to be the THE man, let's see how he does. |
