4 months in jail, to go along with what looks like a 2 game suspension. Possibly 4 games, but time will tell.

As for any superbowl hopes for Baltimore, it wouldn't be with Lewis, as his sentence begins on January 26th 2005, and the superbowl is February 6.

Now, the concern for Lewis owners will be whether this suspension begin this weekend or not.

its up to Tags today. He can accept the plan, which is a two gamer. Or he as commish can step it up if he wishes to make a point.

My prediction....it will stand as is. Fact is, he did this while NOT under contract with the NFL...so they are treading on thin ice some. The real question will be, will Jamal take it, or will he appeal it. It took the NFL 4 weeks to finally get to O.Smith.

I think I heard this morning something about serving it beginning around the 24th of this month. Just caught the tail end of it on the radio though.

The final decision.

Jamal Lewis did not appeal the suspension, actually took it like a man and admitted his mistakes. kudos for that. Doesn't make what he did right, but 20 year olds often screw up.

He will play this Sunday, and miss the October 24 game against Buffalo, and the October 31 game against Philly.

So, that is that.
