| who me? Admin | D'Brickashaw Ferguson offensive Tackle - Virginia - Senior
I dont know if he actually gets drafted in the top 5, but I can easily see it happening. I am currently projecting him to Green Bay at #5, but that will probably change once the actual draft positions are out. A team that I think may very well target him in the draft is the Texans. They would obviously be trading down to do so, but alot of blame is placed on that offensive line and D'Brickashaw Ferguson would provide an immediate improvement to the offensive line, and one of his biggest strengths is the ability to move and pick up the outside pass rush. As hard as I am on David Carr, he does get hit often and hard from the outside rush. |

| Outlaw | Ferguson is no doubt going to be the first O-lineman taken in the 2006 draft. Many say he is the type of left tackle you build around and is a cornerstone of your team for years. This kind of player does not come around very often and I'm won't be suprised if someone in need steps up and trades up to get him at the #3 or #4 spot. |

He signed a six-year, $32.5 million ($10 million signing bonus) contract extension just before he was scheduled to be an UFA in 2004. He really should be the top overall pick. Lowest risk and the most immediate impact at a dire need position for the Texans. Left Tackles are probably the most valuable position in the NFL. You can't get a really good one any way except through the draft. Teams will trade RBs, QBs, WRs, LBs, DEs, but never a Left Tackle.

It is hard to say where this kid is going to go since it is beginning to appear like the Texans may be narrowing down to either Bush or Young.

| Water Boy | IMO, Ferguson is deserving of a top five pick this year, however, not being a "thrill" position pick, like top QB's, RB's, WR's, CB's or LB's, he may slip a bit further to say Oakland or the Niners at 6/7. Gallery and D'Brick in the same line would really be something. Naturally, as a Bronco fan, the aforementioned possibility is certainly not a joyous one. I truly believe D'Brickshaw Ferguson's NFL impact will ultimately be HUGE- like a dominant force among league offensive lineman. He reminds me of a young Orlando Pace already, and I'm thinking he will only get better once he buys into his new team's system. |
