Mario Williams - Draft Projection

Defensive End - North Carolina St. - Junior

Height - 6'7"
Weight - 285
2005 Walter Camp All American Selection

I think Mario Williams is one of the top 3 defensive players entering the 2006 NFL Draft. At the moment, I have him projecte to the Raiders, who's front 7 has made it very tough on their secondary this past year. Wherever Mario Williams goes, I expect him to be a solid playmaker on the defensive line. He needs a little coaching to help him take advantage of his size, but any defensive line coach would love to have that task placed on them.

I am a NC State Season Ticket Holder, so I saw everyone of Mario's Home Games. He is a beast. He started and ended hot, but did go through a slump in the middle of the season, and failed to play big against tougher opponents. Overall, he is a strong and explosive player that can dominate any line.

Glad to get to hear from someone that had ample opportunity to watch the guy. New information is what I am hoping we can all get from these player threads.

I had heard that as well, but I am betting once he gets to the NFL he will greatly benefit from better techiques.

He'll be an instant 15 sack beast. Cardinals need a dominant DE like they had in Rice... if he lasted to 8 though, it'd be a blessing

Mario delcared today...I am going to miss him....unless he comes to Green Bay
