This guy runs alot like Emmitt Smith. He stays very low to the ground, and although he doesnt posess top speed, he is very patient behind his blockers, and very elusive once he hits the hole. His ability to make defenders miss at the line of scrimmage is superior to most of the running backs in this years draft class.

Deangelo Williams biggest detractor seems to be his blocking ability. There is some concern in this area, but coaches at the NFL level specialize in teaching this much better than in college.

1st round draft pick, very possibly to the Cardinals.

That is how I see him, what about you?

Postion: RB
School: Memphis
Status: Senior
Height:5-10
Weight: 217

He has great accelaration when getting through holes. I see a lot of Cadillac in him. I also see Shan Alexander in him when he seems to get this burst of speed out of nowhere when the endzone is in sight.

But, does he have instincts? He doesnt read well where the LBs are and I see that as a downfall.

I agree with you, Mike. He would make a GREAT addition to the Cards and making Marcel Shipp obselete (finally!)

Marcel Shipp is probably the most underrated running back in the NFL.

Deangelo Williams is the #2 Runningback in the draft this year. This would usually mean a spot in the top ten, but since most teams are already set a RB and there seems to be some talent at the later end of round one and early round two (i.e Lendale White, Laurence Maroney), he will slip to the middle of round one somewhere between 10-18. Personally wouldn't put it past the Jets to target him by drafting down or just take him at #4. He is very talented and has little downside.
