Name - Derek Hagan
Position - Wide Receiver
College - Arizona State
ht/wt - 6'2", 203
40 time - 4.50
Senior

Also getting aknowledgement as possibly the best receiver in this years NFL Draft, I have this guy projected #18 as of this post to the Dallas Cowboys. Derek Hagan is not the fastest receiver in this years draft class by any means, but he posesses good quickness, is a great route runner, and may be the most complete receiver in this years draft class. Hagan has set and broken many Pac-10 receiving records during his time with Arizone State.

I was a real fan of Hagan until I saw him burn out in a couple of games this year. He went flat in the USC game, as ASU was playing with USC for most of the game. He dropped passes, missed assignments, and eventually dropped a pass over the middle with little time of the clock that he feathered in to a USC defenders hands for the game-ending interception.

A couple weeks later (I don't remember the opponent), he had an even worse game, dropping passes, screaming at everyone on the field.

This all made me not so sure about his emotional maturity.

Otherwise, he has all the tools to be a great possession receiver in the pros. But his bad games this year were major disappointments.

Talked so Sigmund Bloom, one of the guys who covered the Shrine Game for us this year, and he mentioned that Hagan has struggled in Senior Bowl practices. (see home page for links)

There are alot of receivers sitting on the bubble right now that would like to get some recognition. If Hagan doesn't perform in the Senior Bowl, his value could quickly drop and drop hard.

I think he might be 2nd or 3rd WR picked with Santonio Holmes ahead of him
