I am not sure how to take this as a Cowboys fan. Dallas gave up more talent than they are getting in return. There has appeared to be a power struggle, with Bryant wanting a much bigger role in the offense, while Parcells continues to hold back youth for the "guys" he is more comfortable with, meaning Glenn and Keyshawn as he is used to them.
I probably should not doubt Parcells, as he has a couple skins on the wall, but here Dallas is, stumbling along this year, the defense took a major step back, and on offense, we say goodbye to Troy Hambrick, who was nothing to write home about, but we bring in Eddie George who has lost it. We got young QB's, yet we play Vinnie who has no mobility and appears incapable of making a big play. Sure, he numbers usually look good, but he is so conservative and predictable with the ball you have to expect that.
While Julius Jones is out, we have a young Reshard Lee who does show a little explosion at the line, yet we continue to feature Eddie and Richie (another Parceslls guy)

Dallas has yet to play its two game against Philly, and the season is already looking horrible. And to cap it off, they trade away a young, very talented receiver due to a power struggle with the coach over playing time. I just dont see why he isnt getting the playing time. Now we get to watch him go to Cleveland, and within 6 weeks, Dallas will be looking at this as a very horrible move. I hope I am wrong, but I just cant see it.

My guess is, soon you will see a transition in Dallas. With a quick QB move to Romo or Henson, and a rb change to Jones when he comes back.

Both players are underachievers and hopefully the change in scenery will help both of them. Parcells prefers the 2 elders because you know what you're going to get out on the field where Bryant may show you flashes of something special but that is about it. Not sure if Morgan has been much better but we will see if either one wakes up and realizes that they have been a bust so far.

As for the RB - Lee has shown promise in limited duty but that is the most I would expect from him. If he becomes the teams featured back I would be surprised if he maintained his production

If Parcells is planning on eventually going w/ Henson I have no problem w/ letting him learn behind Testaverde. I'm beginning to buy into the grooming theory... at least with the ex-baseball players. Weinke, Carter, Hutchinson... all had potential but were thrown into the mix early and have all failed miserably as a result.

What irritates me about this move is Bryant was catching just about evething thrown close to him this year. Unfortunately, the plays were not being called up for him, he had become a decoy.

and looking at the record, the team seemed to start losing as soon as he was taken out of the mix. At the point that they were 2-1, he was tied for most receiving yards on the team. He disappeared, Dallas stopped winning

I don't buy into that line of thought - he actually showed some production but the promise of him maintaining anything wasn't there. They traded for another underachiever so I can't say they helped themselves but they dumped Bryant while they could still get something for him.

The kid has potential but I have not been impressed with what he has shown so far.

I Hope Parcells is watching Antonio Bryant "STARTING" today. I dont see Quincy Morgan getting those numbers anytime soon.

With Holcomb firing the ball today it looks like Bryant might have some value.

another 100+ 2TD game for Bryant. I just hope we can get that production on Monday night from Quincy Morgan.
