| Outlaw | After the first day the Browns had I am very happy. Now let's see what they encore with on Defense for day 2. Arrington or Peterson coming to town? I think Witherspoon is out of the picture for the Browns, but they've surprised me before. There are some great LBs out there, so it'll be interesting to see who it is that they end up signing. Bart Scott from Baltiwhore is a possibility and word is we're pushing hard for him. |

| Outlaw | yeah, I don't see the Seahwawks being able to match that. That was some good positioning by the Vikes to put out an offer sheet that had such an enormous year 1 cap number. The Vikes have the room to do this, Seattle would have to squeeze the belt very tight for the rest of the offseason if they matched. I can see the Browns trading down, as the LB talent pool is very deep through the beginning of the 2nd round. But they won't trade down until draft day, just in case Ngata happens to fall to 12...which is possible but I only give about a 15% chance of happening. They tried to sign Bart Scott and offered him a 5 year deal, but he opted to re-sign with Baltimore for a 3 year deal. McGinest could be an option, but he'll be like Ted Washington, just a stop gap until they figure out their plans. But he's a solid player and has roots with Romeo, so it makes sense. I would really like to see Arrington or Peterson, especially seeing how Will Witherspoon signed with the Rams for over $5M/yr. The Browns have some more room to work with but might be staying away from these two guys until their market comes down a bit...which it will. Right now they are likely pricing themselves out and the Browns might get froggy and jump if the price is right. It's just getting to that price point. |
