I guess they were in need of a QB and he was just about the only thing left. Maybe he could revive his career there.

Or maybe Moss goes on to have another subpar year, lol.

I know no one wants to give this guy love...but I am sorry this makes him a great sleeper canidate.

You have a team with a great running game, solid wr's and a coach who likes to get the ball deep, and a QB who can get it there. Brooks is not the terrible option most make him out to be, and he is much more mobile than Collins, so won't get sacked as much. I think it is a great stop gap move by Oakland.

Yeah, but I would not say he is a much better QB than Collins, definitely more mobile, but not much else. Collins has a strong arm too, and he did not get it done there. A lot of the problem is still the play of the oline and I have not seen them do much to improve that yet.

Ok, decision time for me and everyone else running a mock draft. With this aquisition, do you think the Raiders may still possibly go after Vince Young, or do they focus on the defense now?

I think they still have to go QB. No way can they count on Brooks to lead them for a few years.

It was only a two year deal signed with Brooks. If Young is there...I think they take him

Good point, so maybe I can leave that pick alone for now.

IF they're smart, they'll pull a Marvin Lewis. Draft a QB, and sit him out atleast a year.

If they are really smart, they will learn from history, and not repeat it. Draft a defensive player, because defensive players drafted in the first three rounds by the raiders have had success. They would be smart to stay away from another first round quarterback, because Al Davis doesn't know a good quarterback for his system from a bad quarterback for his system, and we could end up with Vince Young underthrowing a wide open Randy Moss every couple of plays.

I agree, Oakland could really use a good young QB to sit and learn a year and then give it a go.
