It's early on in the Slam #2 draft, and I have my 3 RB's, will add a 4th,
but wanted to get some opinions on Ronnie Brown,Tiki Barber, and Chester Taylor? My plan was to draft some youth for the longterm, I think now that Ricky is gone, Brown will explode onto the sceen? Tiki will be my solid veteran, I fiqure he has 2, maybe even 3 good years left, and I rolled the dice with Taylor, he could be this years Lamount Jordon, well guys, your thoughts?

I feel the Vikings gave him a hefty contract, he should produce, but you never know.

I think Taylor is gonna produce more than most people think. I dont think Minny goes for RB, especially in the 1st round, maybe later for depth.

I also think Brown will have a solid season without Ricky there.

And Tiki, well he will just continue for at least 2 more years as a stud. So you are off to a great start IMO.

Good set of running backs. I am not huge on Chester Taylor, but if he can hold on to the starting job long term, you are set.

The thing with the Vikings is the drafted a good prospect last year in Fason, and Mewelde Moore is still a factor.

For Taylor, the wildcard here, I think, is Fason. New coaches have little to go on from last season, but I think he could very well make an impact and command some playing time this year.

I just dont see them paying that kinda cash, then letting him ride the bench. if he gets the playing time, he will put very good numbers.

Brown and Tiki should be golden and it is not hard to make a case for them, obviously. Chester Taylor is a bit of a gamble but seems to be put in a good position to shine. As others have said he has some decent backs around him in Moore and Fason. I wish I had seen more of Chester Taylor to be able to give a great analysis. I have seen enough of Moore to know that he is incredibly bad blocker when it comes to protecting the QB. Moore produces great numbers rushing the ball but making it in the NFL level as a running often hindges on being able to protect the Qb when you don't get the ball. Alot of great runners don't get shot because they can't block well, a trait that college ball really don't prepare them well for. Fason was used so little that it is hard to get a bead on him as a blocker. This is something I usually watch carefully when I get to see backup backs in the game. Unfortunately I haven't seen enough of Chester Taylor to know if he is a a good blocker without the ball. Maybe Beermutts or some other poster can add some insight to that.
I like Taylor a prospect with good potential as minny can be a great place for players to put up some numbers.
Still it has some potential to be a RBBC team and if Taylor gets dinged up in the least there is no reason to keep him in playing at 80% when you can pop Moore or Fason for a game or two.
But depending on how many backs you can start and your scoring system this looks like a great start for your team as this is a nice trio of backs to start out with, Taylor has loads of upside potential. Let us know who is around when you get around to slecting your 4th back

Will do coachnorm, thanks for your break down. I drafted Carson Palmer,
and have Owens and Harrison, now I will look for some younger WR's
to balance them out. Don't have to tell you, we are in the 7th round,
not alot of RB's left, and we start 3

Well, we are in the 8th round, and I am up, there are 2 RB's left, Dillon and Ahman Green, who would you take to go along with TiKi,Ronnie Brown, and
Chester Taylor?

Sorry I missed this Mastermind. That is a tough choice, so who did you take?
I see Minny didn't make a move to grab a back, have to raise Chester Taylor's stock upward.
