Philly was willing to trade up to #8 for the expressed purpose of drafting Brodrick Bunkley. The Bills didn't want to do it. That shows cowardice on the Bills behalf for not having the guts to see if they could still grab Donte Whitner at #14, which I'm pretty sure they could have. They were just too scared to risk losing their "chosen ones".

of course, the 49ers showed "cowardice" for trading up to get (and not waiting on) a young man named Jerry Rice.

Well when Donte Whitner becomes the next Brian Dawkins that'll be something.

While I agree..had they wanted Whitner, they could have traded down to get him...I still don't think it that bad a pick. He will be a hell of a player for them. The McCargo pick is unexcusable. Unless this guy is better than most think...he was a bad pick. I heard the rumor of trading for Eagles as well. I DO think they could have trade with Eagles, gotten extra picks and Still gotten Whitner at #14. Easily.

As for Indy. I think Addai was an expected pick. The team that got the steal was Carolina. Getting the BEST rb in this draft that late in the first round is HUGE. Now who cares if Foster gets hurt?
