Anybody got an opinion on this guy? I am sure he wont be getting much notice right now in anyone's early season rankings, but if you watched this kid in college, he was one hell of a runner.

Bell was initially projected to be drafted in the 2nd/3rd round, but like many guys this year, his value began to drop for some unknown reason, and he ended up not getting drafted at all.

This is one of the guys I was watching leading up to the draft, curious who he would go to. Now Denver quickly picked him up as an undrafted free agent, and he will be given an opportunity to compete against Ron Dayne and Tatum Bell during minincamps and training camp.

One thing about Denver, they dont get hung up on a name when it comes to their running game. If Bell shows he can outclass the competition, he will get the job. Shanahan doesn't care who runs the ball, as long as they are running it effectively.

This is a guy that I will be taking a strong look at during my rookie drafts in dynasty leagues. Just curious to see what opinions, if any, you guys and gals had on one of the top rushers to ever come out of Arizona.

I'd take a 6th rd. flier on this guy.
Seems like Shanahan doesn't have much confidence in Tatum Bell and Ron Dane has had what, 1 good run in his career?

Don't forget Cedric Cobbs. I'm more interested in the two guys in KC who might back up Larry Johnson.

I drafted Bell in both my Zealots Dynasty drafts at 6.08 and 6.04 of a 12 team, 6 round draft.
I figure he's as good a gamble as anyone that late.
I think some of the other owners were disapointed that they hadn't heard of his signing with DEN...he may have gone sooner.

I have in in one of my zealots leagues. In the other, we are in the middle of drafting still.

Especially when I think the job could easily go to Cedric Cobbs.

The other concern I have here is Shanahan's proclivity to do any damn thing he likes. Trying to read him is like trying to read a newspaper through mud. I am hearing rumbles now of Tatum Bell being THE back, or Dayne.....I know they have always liked Cobb and planned on drafting him..but missed. I have not heard Boo on Mike Bell at all.

*edit* went in to make Taz feel better.....

Believe in Bell. Shanahan is an irritating little rat face to try to figure out if you listen to him.

Bottom line though, is he is simple. If there is a running back on the team that can consistently play better and run harder than the others, he will be on the field constantly. I truly think Mike Bell is this guy.
