He is saying the right things, just hope he acts on these comments when it comes time to sign.

If it was for insurance purposes they coulda just said so. He probably is a lttle stiff. He probably hasn't really worked out much since after the pro days at USC. I don't think there are any issues here. They are probably really just playing it safe.

Reggie is backing off the earlier statements a little now
http://sportsoutlaw.com/nflnews/?p=624

Can we expect a holdout here?

Even Drew Rosenhaus and Terrell Owens said the right things about showing up on time to training camp and wanting to avoid trouble. It sounds nice but its no garauntee of anything at all. So what if he shows up to camp if its still a big issue and they cant get a deal done?

I hope not. Saints are in a real feel good momentum now. With the new head coach, new QB and new rb in Bush...folks are flocking to support the team. I understand he has already done some stuff to help like donate a percentage of his profits from materials to the huricane relief. If he holds out..that would be disasterous.

Oh really? Hmm.. didn't know that. I'm used to players that are restricted free agents looking for a contract or players holding out for better deals than what they have.

I thought I saw Bush taking reps with the Saints with #5 jersey on, and I hadn't heard they'd reached a deal. Hence the confusion.

He will holdout. I can just feel it. He believes the hype.

I can't help but be skepticle when Bush says he doesn't want a hold-out. When it happens, both sides are going to call the other unreasonable. It's inevitable, I think.

This could get very ugly. Especially considering Bush is already going to lose money by not accepting the offer that the Texans were willing to give. He has to be crazy to think he is going to get anywhere close, going 2nd overall but I am almost positive at this point that he is going to push his hardest to get as close to #1 money, or better if he can.

He made his choice, he turned the offer down to become the #1 pick in the draft, now he needs to realize he wasn't, he was the #2 pick, and with that comes #2 money, not #1.
