As the top skill position pick I would expect him to get number 1 money. Expect him to hold out to get it. In the end he'll get his money. Has there ever been a situation where the number 1 overall didn't get the top deal?

It seems this is about to get interesting. The Texans made offers to both Bush and Williams and signed up and drafted the one who took the cheaper deal, so this situation is already a bit skewed. Williams also signed a very cap friendly deal to boot.

Actually, the Texans offered him a nice deal, but he had demands of $29 mil I believe in guaranteed money. Bush screwed himself in this situation.

But Dave is right, ultimately he will get close to what he wants, although it might hurt his production a little this year if it lasts too long.
