I will be interested to see how this effects Chris Brown. I expect that LenDale White will eventually become the starter, and Brown is too good to be a backup long term. He has been an injury risk, but there seems to have been alot of injuries taking place in the Titans backfield over the past couple years.

He was out of shape and still got 100 yards? That's pretty impressive.

The Titans' O-line needs to improve a lot for any of this to matter.

Nobody down here thought Henry was better than McGahee. I'm glad the Steelers didn't draft White, who seems to need his attitude adjusted. But, I wouldn't discount, out of hand, what he and Bush did for week after week for multiple years. They were less than a quarter away, despite some terrible play calling against Texas, from beating every "pathetic" team they ever faced. Letsee now. Who else faced those pathetic Pac 10 defenses and is doing ok in the NFL?

And Ron Dayne got the most rushing yardage in NCAA history while being fat and out of shape. How did his pro career pan out again?

The RB coach at USC has questioned his work ethic:

``His character, he has matured, but there is some validity in the questions. His work ethic has progressed since I've been here... but he hasn't been the hardest worker.

Like the guy in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Dayne says "I'm not dead yet."

White could be a bust and a half. I don't deny that. I do like where the Titans got him and what he could mean to their putrid short-yardage attack.

A second round break-or-bust is a chance i take every time. That being said, the guys who think he starts opening day are dreaming.

Why are they dreaming? The guy is the most talented running back on the team now. The learning curve for a running back in usually much smaller than it is for a quarterback or a receiver, and the Tennessee Titans playbook is no exception.

LenDale White has been letting this injury heal, rather than torture it to gain draft position. He could very well be an offensive force in his rookie year.

It's just as likely that White uses/has used the injury as a convenient excuse not to work very hard based on all that been disclosed at this point.

Coach: Get out there and run your sprints, rookie.
LenDale: Coach, I don't quite feel 100%.
Coach: You didn't say crap about this yesterday, and you're up to 250 now fatass.
LenDale: You were there for my pro day - I don't have to tell you crap in advance. I ain't running b!tch.

....

GM: You made me draft this fat lazy POS?
Chow: Back off, he's just misunderstood.

Good one.

Not so sure Fisher would let that fly though.
