Good news for fantasy owners that are looking to get another year out of him.

You just have to wonder which year that might be, 2004 like or 2005 like.....

How much of that season was he playing hurt?

Or was it just a matter of him and the team playing poorly?

Or is it all of the above. I am hoping this is a repeat of 03-04. He was hurt in 03...and burst out again in 04. He was hurting in the knees last year...if healthy, and with the new young Off. line...potential is there for another solid year.

But the man is 33 yo, how many more comebacks can he have? Dont get me wrong, I would love to see him have another 2004 season, as I do have him in a couple of leagues, but I am just not sold that it will happen. I also wont trade him in case it does, lol.

I don't think he will be full blown 2004, but he is in excellent shape, and with even a decent passing offense, and improved line...1200yds is definately doable. Also lack of someone to take carries......

See I am not sure I agree there. I think Blaylock (if fully healthy) could take some carries away. It was just in 2004 that he put up some decent stats for KC. Something like 800 total yards and 8 or 9 td's in very limited action. Now people act like he doesnt exist. I dont get that.

Probably because most think like I do that he was a product of the KC offense. I don't think he is the end all....and only time will tell.

I dont think he is the end all either, by no means. I just think he could vulture some carries. Again I hope he doesnt, just pointing out the chance.

KC has a offence besides handing the ball to Holmes and now LJ ? I think you are seeing his goodbye tour . I am not sure his replacement is on the team yet , but he may be .

Yeah it is definitely a hard call at this point. Hopefully we will know something during training camp.

I was all but convinced Martin was virtually done after last year. Then the talk of him still playing was out there, but most assumed the Jets would spend a day one pick on a running back.

No idea what to think at this point. However, a 33 year old body is going to have to work to get into the workhorse shape that Curtis Martin has been in his entire career.

Well that is one thing he is known for. He works his butt off in the offseason.
