| who me? Admin | I think that McNair got a pretty raw deal here. I also think that this ruling will be a topic of converstation in future CBA talks. It is a known fact that the Titans cant afford to sign their rookies unless McNair renegotiates. He has already done this, and has no obligation to renegotiate again, nor should anyone think he should. He can go play for the Ravens in 2006 and make more money than the Titans would pay him for a renegotiated 3 year deal. He doesn't want to renegotiate, so they lock him out of the practice area. I think anybody can read through that and see it is nothing more than a way for try to force McNair and Cook's hand on this deal. Am I looking at it wrong? |

| Deputy Premium Member Moderator | I also agree with your point of view Mike. However, I also think Tennessee is trying to force Baltimore for more value. Everyone knows the McNair is gone. To me it is a given, and so do alot of others. The key is...do they trade him and get value...or just cut him. I think Tennessee hoped Baltimore was desperate to get him and overpay. Instead Baltimore is taking the tack take my offer, or I wait till he is cut. Honestly, what killed the Titans was how quickly McNair and baltimore came to a contractual agreement. I think the Titans were hoping that would drag out...and make McNair more open to staying. I think that horse has left the barn...and Tennesse is really, really stuck here.
