NFL News » Blog Archive » Packers RB Herron Getting Reps In Front Of Gado

Could be an interesting development here if there turns out to be anything to this. I know a lot of people have plans for Gado as their "sleeper pick"

With me being one of them, not necessarily by choice. I have him in Z35 and I really need something out of him. hopefully it is mainly because Gado is not yet 100% ready to practice fully.

Herron, a second-year running back out of Northwestern whom the Packers signed off the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad late last season, has been getting snaps at both halfback and fullback in practice this week and getting some attention in the process.

This is worth keeping an eye on, whether you are banking on something from Gado, Ahman Green, or Dumpenpoop.

what are Green bays concerns with Gado?? I heard rumors that they were concerned on him having enough gas in the tank to go full out for an entire season. What has anyone heard on him?

I just cant picture the guy as the starter in Green Bay. To me, it would simply be another sign of a horrible season in the works.

Gado himself is comming off an injury. Gado has been working and taking all the reps so far with the first string. So they may be giving reps to Herron just to not overwork Gado. If they are giving Herron more reps as a first stinger I would think that that may show more worry about A Green and/or Davenport not being ready to go rather than any concerns about Gado at this point. Green and Davenport haven't practiced yet at all.

Are there any NFL teams with more injured running backs than the Packers right now?
