Rate my trade

So, I made a trade in one of my IDP leagues today, so tell me how I did.

I give Shawne Merriman and CB Andre Goodman

I get Leroy Hill and Terrance Mcgee.

What do you think? Pretty much standard scoring, but no return yards.

Hill could very well be a starter within a year or two. Maybe sooner with a solid training camp. Still a downgrade from Merriman.

On the otherside, you get a young top 20 defensive back in exchange for a player with very little fantasy value at all.

I think what you lose at linebacker is more than made up for in your defensive back improvement.

Actually Hill is going to start at WLB for them this year, and has a shot at being a 3 down backer.

The real gamble comes on whether or not he plays all 3 downs, if not, then this wil be a bad deal, but I just dont think they can keep him off the field with his pass rushing ability, especially since their DB's suck.

Clare Farnsworth, writing for the Sporting News, reports Seattle Seahawks LB D.D. Lewis will again work with the coverage units on special teams for the 2006 season. Lewis is the primary backup to LBs Julian Peterson and Leroy Hill, but he will be featured in situational roles because of his ability to drop back into coverage and make plays near the line of scrimmage. While it seems like a demotion for Lewis, it will improve the team's defense and special teams as well as lessen the wear and tear on Lewis.
