Chiefs QB Green Cleared To Practice Next Week.

Elizabeth Merrill, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs QB Trent Green (concussion) has been cleared to practice and will begin seven-on-seven and nine-on-seven team drills when the club resumes full workouts Wednesday, Oct. 25. kffl.com

Yeah, and he's on the FA list for me to swipe if I so desire. I have Leinart and Rivers though, so I don't know that it's really that big a deal to do so with LJ still there anyway.

Glad to hear is he able to get back on the field. I wonder if he will play after this year since he took such a big hit?

I need to look, but I thought he was a FA after this year. I do remember some talk of the team needing to start planning for the future....can't remember if it was due to age alone, or contract also.

I just blogged an update. It turns out that Green was just cleared for practice "Light" non-contact. It may be two more weeks for him to be cleared for contact work.

This could be interesting if he has contract issues too. He may become the hot vetern QB in the free agent market.

I don't think there will be huge market for him, actually. If he still have time on his contract, I would think that the Chiefs would hope to have him next year so they can start working Brodie in slowly.
