Question

My problems at QB never seem to get better. I started Delhomme against Grossman this past week and still managed to win. Delhomme is on a bye and Leftwich was going to be my plan ahead for the bye guy NOPE!!!!
THe options are:

Pick up Romo @ Was and trade for Kitna ATL(this guy knew I wanted Kitna and stole him from me. He's a big Dallas fan do he'd be happy to make the trade)

Pick up Romo and KEEP him (I'm kind of tempted to do this one)

Pick up a flavor of the week named:
Losman GB, Huard at Stl, Wallace OAK, Brunell Dal

What are your thoughts???

I am torn here.
Kitna has put up very good numbers. My fear with Romo is if he chokes....then they will go back to Bledsoe. I would lean to one of the two following options.

Get Romo and make trade for Kitna.
Get Huard against St. Louis...as that will be a big shootout, and Huard has done great lately.

Kitna would be my first option...but I like Huard as well.

Thanks for the input so far. I'm torn also!!! As I had a few minutes to do some research, this my help make a pick for a longer term starter than just a bye week fill in. Of course I'm playing this week to week and want to do well NOW!!!

The possibilities are:

Romo @ Was wk 9, @ Ari, ind, tb, @nyg, no, @ atl, phi, DET for last game of playoffs

Kitna ATL wk 9, SF, @ ari, Mia, @ ne, min, @ GB, chi, @ Dal

Huard (only a few games before green comes back) @Stl, @mia, oak, den, @ cle, Bal, @SD, @oak, Jax

Leftwich/Gerrard Ten, Hou, NYG, @buf, @mia, ind, @ ten, ne, @ kc

Lossman @GB wk 9, @ ind, @ hou, Jax, SD, @ nyj, mia, ten 1st playoff, @ bal

Wallace Oak wk 9, Stl, @sf, gb who knows when and if Hass will be back???

Delhomme Bye wk 9, tb, stl, @was, @phi, nyg, pit, @atl, @no

That is my situation. I'm looking for A) a strong play this week and B) a possible every week starter.

Let me know.

I like Romo, I think he makes Dallas a playoff contender again. Something they weren't under Bledsoe.

Kitna DOES have a long line of buster-ass secondaries, however

I think you gotta go Romo here, even after him only starting one game so far.

I managed to pick up Romo. There was talk by a few bottom feeders that they would pick him up. I too am torn. I kind of want to run this guy out there and see what happens. On the other hand Kitna just seems like someone you could run out there and get 250/2 almost every week. I do agree that there are some great weapons in Dallas. It will be a weekend decision. I am still toying with trading either Gore or Ro. Brown and Delhomme for Eli and Jones Drew. It seems like picking up more points in the QB dept and getting less in the RB dept. I'm not sure. I have Maroney and Lundy as my other two. I have to start 2 RB's per wk.

Let me suggest the following. Play Romo this week. he should blow up against the Redskins. Then if you really like to trade, his value will be even higher, and you can get more value that way. If you deal a rb, don't deal Gore, deal Brown. But, you might make the deal easier to get Eli if you have a Romo lighting it up.

If your league doesnt penalize for interceptions I believe that Romo is your man. He isnt going to choke and it'll be awhile before he shows enough consistancy of habits for anyone to game plan him. He'll tag more interceptions but hell score alot more TD's also.

It sounds like you are mostly in favor of Romo. Should I hang onto Delhomme OR trade a guy Delhomme for Kitna? I like the high value for Romo. Maybe I could keep Delhomme and deal Romo and a RB for Eli. We'll see. Thanks for all the advice.

I think you need to see what Romo does this week, then think about your best trade options.

The Redskins secondary is at full strength for the first time this season, and many expect this defense to be very good at this point. This defense has given up about the same amount of touchdowns this year already that I believe they gave up all of last season. Romo is up against what should be a very solid secondary this week, and if he can produce, you got the option to trade him at a very high value, or feel comfortable keeping him in your lineup and trading another QB.

So which TWO guys do you want in your stable down the stretch??

Romo, Kitna, Delhomme

I have Delhomme and Romo right now. I could have any comination of the two with one trade or another.

See above posts for matchups.
