my vote is Addai because so many thought he couldn't handle that "complex" Colts offense.

Colston, but Addai is a close 2nd.

He's putting up crazy good numbers for a player drafted originally as a TE..came outta nowhere to start and is now earning RoY honors so far. I expect him to keep it up.

Addai is the starter in all but name, if that's even the case. He's ready to start taking on an Edge-like role as the Indy go-to guy on the ground. I expect it to be a close race between these two, especially since Jennings went down.

I think Colston's stats are much better than what he actually is. The Saints offense has been one trick or busted play after another. Came down to earth for a while, then last week put up stupid numbers once again in a game that the Saints were getting their butts kicked in.

Jennings, with a healthy ankle, is twice the receiver that Colston is and already showing signs of being the go to guy in the Packers offense when healthy.

That said, it still has to be Addai at this point.

Gotta disagree with Mike. I was one of the fortunate ones who grabbed up Colston in most of my leagues when he was named starter so i was also fortunate to reap the benefits. I like Colston better then Gennings. As for the numbers he's putting up in GB lets face it what else does Favre have to throw to thats still standing. Not hard to be Miss USA when your the only chick in the pagent.

Colston wouldn't even by my runner up. Right now, I would have to make the decision between Joseph Addai and Demeco Ryans.

DeMeco Ryans as Defensive Rookie of the Year.

He is amazing. He started game one as middle linebacker and when he tackles people they tend to stay tackled. Really smart mature player, people in Alabama worship him. Already a leader on defense.

Texans took him with the first pick of the second round. They thought there was no way he was still going to be there. Usually, teams let the clock run a bit at the draft to see if they get any trade offers, but they immediately turned in his name to get him.

Out of all the linebackers, he is 4th in the entire NFL in tackles, and second in solo tackles. Check out his company: link

He also has 2.5 sacks.

MarK Anderson of the Bears, with 7.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles is having a much bigger impact for his team.

Donte Whitner of the Bills has trailed off a bit but as a Rookie safety there is no one even close.

Tamba Hali of the Chiefs has had more impact.

DeMeco Ryans is playing with converted linemen, gimps, and out of position guys in the other linebacker positions. Thought the Texans defense is poorly ranked, part of that is that they were so miserable the first 3 weeks of the season that it has been hard for them to catch up statistically.

Anderson came onto a team that already had an established defense and a proven scheme. He's done well, but I will suggest that it is harder to be a standout player on a team that is well, uh, teammate challenged.

There are few players in the league that are so good that they can thrive no matter what situation that they are put in

Ryans has started every game. Facing one of the hardest schedules in the league. His stats are near the top of all NFL linebackers, and I would maintain that in watching him play, his play on the field is more impressive that the stats. He is everywhere.

There is no doubt that DeMeco Ryans is the rookie standout on defense. However, now that Cling Ingram has finally been given an opportunity, he may steal the show. This guy has stepped into a defense that started out as great, got beaten down by injuries, and he is taking them back to the top.
