traded for andre johnson!

same league you guys have read a bit about from me this season. i made a move for julius jones last week and now with a guy desperate for RB help, i made another move and landed myself andre johnson, the #2 WR in the league. for the record, his 183 points so far are the 6th highest of all RB/WR combined.

scoring is 1 per 10 yards, 6 per all TD, 1 per catch, 3 point bonus for 100 yards. start 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 rb/wr, 1 te and i almost always flex a WR.

the trade was:
SHAUN ALEXANDER, mo morris, joe horn
for
ANDRE JOHNSON, lamont jordan, marion barber

that makes my team (usual starters in bold):

qb - p manning
rb - westbrook, j jones..... m barber, jordan, lundy, m bell
wr - a johnson, driver, boldin... chambers, evans
te - crumpler, witten

so im wondering what you all think? did i give up on alexander too easily? remember i just traded for him 2 and a half weeks ago, and i decided to pull teh plug and move toward johnson who scores me points now. worth noting that the guy who did the deal is #6 and i am #7 in the league, with only 6 teams making the playoffs. so i feel like i hurt his team at least temporarily. i went ahead and accepted the trade on impulse, under the believe that alexander is simply damaged goods this year.

offering trades like mad this week, trade deadlines friday. doing anything i can to move all of the guys on my bench for any starting upgrade. would love to trade chambers or evans with jj/barber for a better starting RB. i also have no problem trading boldin, who ive soured on, and start chambers or evans at flex. im trying really really hard to trade for colston, who i can start at TE.

thoughts on all this?

I think you made a great trade. Alexander might come back, but I dont see that as much of a dropoff as Johnson is an upgrade. I cant believe that team is in 7th place.

3rd place in points, and only 50 off the lead, but just bad luck after bad luck. i was trying to just wait it out for awhile, but at this point i cant escape the bad luck, and i need to pull some wins at whatever cost to get to the playoffs. i feel like if i can just get in, my team will be as tough as anyone.

the top two contenders will be tough to beat, and becasue i'll be a low seed, i'll probably have to beat both. one guy has palmer, holt, lt2, fwp, and gore. the other guy has bulger, lj, to, and s smith. not looking forward to either of those, but i guess you gotta beat the best to be the best.
