| who me? Admin | This could end up being a big injury. I don't think it has been confirmed as a break just yet, but the symptoms are similar to a lisfranc fracture. An injury like this can take more than a year to fully heal. The injury occured when Jones foot was caught under defensive end Kenechi Udeze. An MRI is being done today to see the full extent of the damage, but if it does end up being a lisfranc fracture, it could result in Jones being out for a rather long time. link |

| Deputy Premium Member Forum Leader | I agree. I fully expected this to happen much sooner in the season, and did not count on Calhoun going out first. Still, if it is Lisfranc.....Calhoun should get a pretty good shot next year.

| Luckiest Man in Hired Gun Premium Member | MLive.com has confirmed that Kevin Jones has a "full blown" Lisfranc fracture/dislocation that will take at least six months to recover from. He will have surgery in the next 3-5 days, which shows that this injury is more serious than similar injuries that Brian Westbrook and Brian Dawkins had earlier in their careers. It's a fracture, not a sprain. Some estimates say that it could take a year to fully recover. Dec. 11 - 5:24 pm et Source: MLive.com |

| who me? Admin | This could end up being interesting as the start of next season comes around. Many thought Calhoun was going to push Kevin Jones to the side this year, and he was unable to do it while he was healthy. Both will be coming back from season ending injuries to start the 2007 season now (if Kevin Jones is able to come back by that time). Maybe Detroit looks for another running back in the draft? |

| who me? Admin | Right. I was surprised when they confirmed what injury was and said he would be out 6 months when the normal time taken for this injury to completely heal is a year or longer. I would have little hope in this guy being in training camp or available before mid-season next year. If he is back, I would fear a Daunte Culpepper type return...... very premature. |

| Deputy Premium Member Forum Leader | Sounds like Duce staley all over. that would be sad for Kevin Jones...as it is the same type of injury. My guess is...Calhoun's value just skyrocketed. I also think Detroit looks to draft another RB, as neither Arlen Harris or Cason is a solid replacement. |
